Ordered this dashcam. Plan is employ separate power supply which I have. The stutter is an unknown to me..not a computer knowledgeable person but decades of experience with auto repair, hot rods, remodeling homes ect...just have to slug through the learning curve. Didn't know about firmware update needing a computer...mine expired years ago and don't see the need for one now. See what happens..perhaps manufacturer will have fixed that ...glitch. Brian, according to the manual: If you want to disable the interior camera from recording temporarily, you can long-press both the white microphone and yellow triangle button, and you can press them again to restart interior recording.

Viofo make great dash cams. I have an older model A119s that is still working. Although, I am planning on upgrading to one that has higher resolution. Have you, by any chance, compared the T130 with the A129 Pro? I would love to see a side by side video footage from each cam. By the way, as much as I would like to have a rear cam, it would be an issue down the road if I want to remove it. I have window tinting, and I'm sure it would make a mess of it. Your video reviews of dash cams are very good. I hope that you do more. Thanks.

I have only one question 🙋🏽‍♂️. When the car is off and you are in your house per se, can you still watch live feed of the 3 cameras? Or do you have to be imside the car with the car and cameras on? Thank you

I've had mine for awhile and it seems great but it's been awhile since they said they'd have an updated production model. I personally think I prefer their a139 but it depends on if you want the interior camera built into the main camera or separate. The a139 used very thin coax cables that I liked a lot over these thick USB cables.

Hello, I live in New York, the time zone is GMT-4, and the recording time is set to a clip every 2 minutes. Why is the video timeline disordered?

1) Can you connect to the dashcam wifi and surf the internet at the same time using an android phone? 2) Why is the internal (driver) camera video so purple?

a big plus about this dashcam is the use of usb c instead of the dreaded usb mini. it makes life easier when you don’t have to fight and fiddle with the correct orientation of the cable when plugging it in. hopefully all dashcam manufacturers will go with this as a standard from now on. for existing dashcam owners with a rear camera, this will mean having to go back to running cables through the roofliner for a new rear camera yet again.

Now I just got mine programmed with a viofo 256 chip. So how can I get the video synched with my I phone? I’d like to see as I go.

SEE UPDATE @ BOTTOM: I've been in the weeds on dashcam reseach for days now and thought I was ready to pull the trigger on what may be as many as 3 systems. Then I found Brian's (excellent) review of the Viofo T130 - that's the camera I want! Low profile, inside cam that can capture the driver window, Viofo (generally highly rated and sweet spot priced). I even have it in my Amazon shopping cart. But then I considered more of the caveats Brian highlighted: No buffered parking, manual wifi, cable placement, app quirks, etc. The buffered parking might just be a deal breaker for me. For now, I'm back searching and the VIOFO A139 is at the top - for now. UPDATE 1/30/22 Bought two T130's. I don't find the con's Brian pointed out bothersome at all. Set and forget. Buffered parking: in my particular situation, not the deal breaker I thought but, I bought a $300 Blackvue battery not knowing. Might return that. If If I buy a 3rd dash cam, it will be a T130. Thank's Brian!

I'm looking for cameras that will record about 8 hours (overnight), with sensors to record only when there is movement outside, in other words, to monitor while I'm away. Also, it should alert me instantly if it detects movement. I'm not looking to record while driving, but only while parked. What does it take? Hard wired? wifi?

So far mine is very good but unfortunately my phone (Samsung Note 10) doesn't like the app. The only way to connect to the camera's wifi is to restart my phone. Has to be my phone. Also, randomly my camera will voice alert that recording 3 camera is starting. That is getting annoying. As you stated, plates and signs do not look clear at all. The Viofo A119V3 has no problem with it so I don't understand why Viofo dropped the ball on this very important aspect. As of date, there are no firmware updates newer than October 21 to download to resolve issues. Hope they're working on it. Maybe my SD card has an issue, not sure. My last dashcam was a Blackvue that continuosly would disconnect. Ended up spiking and smashing it. Felt good lol

I got this dash cam. I tried to connect it to wifi and the live video wouldn’t show. I tried it on an iphone X and iphone 12. Same didn’t work. I contacted support and she said to turn off the cellular data. Once I did that the live video worked. Also, I wouldn’t do a hardwire to the car battery because if you drive on a low battery, it will burn up your alternator. You have to always keep a maintenance charge on your car battery if you do a hardwire connection. I didn’t do a hardwire connection. I bought SBAOH Portable Power Station Generator, 42000mAh on Amazon for $115 and it works good for constant power. The unit is small, like 3 lbs. Brian says that he has a 128GB card, but it will support a 256 GB card. Also, the Viofo site under FAQ tells which type of Samsung cards are recommended and not recommended. I bought one that was not recommended before seeing that. It still works though.

Is it better to put the dash cam along the driver side or at the middle?

The major issue with this model is that it only records at 30fps and not at 60fps like the a139. I like that the front and interior cameras are combined in one unit but the fps is what makes me go with the a139, any thoughts? Great review

I got Rexing v2 pro is similarly designed. HardWire drained your car battery🔋and short your car battery life. You don't to do HardWire you can get mid size laptop computer battery pack bank or lithium battery 30am with solar panel kits.

Having WiFi auto turn on is the worst. I hated that Blackvue removed the option to turn off on startup on their newer model. The last thing I want is my phone to not get updates because it’s connected to a WiFi source that has no internet.
