Violent crime in Germany reaches 15-year high, according to new police report | DW News

New figures show a sharp rise in crime in Germany. Last year police processed nearly six million offenses - 5 per cent up on the previous year, and violent crimes have reached a fifteen-year high. Nearly half of all criminal suspects do not hold a German passport, re-igniting calls for immigration controls. Interior Minister Nancy Faesar has pledged to speed up deportations of foreign offenders. Analysis from DW political correspondent Simon Young.

If you look at the immigration rates 15 years ago and now and compare the criminality rates, you will find the answer you are looking for, as to why the violence has increased.

The accomplice of crime and corruption is often our own indifference and naivety. Usually every society gets the criminal it deserves. I am not sure what part of Germany these reporters are referring too. I have lived in Germany for three years. My wife is German. Our son is British/German. We have family here who live in the North and South. Germany is a beautiful country. The people are sound. Where we live is like being back before the 80s. You can leave your windows and doors open, and no-one breaks in. Yeah there are foreigners here, and I encounter a lot of them. However, the majority of them are brilliant people with families. They are trying to build a new life while learning the German language. I think it is ignorance on any Government or News Reporting to mislead the facts. I saw this a lot in my own country, and we know the results of that type of thinking. "Los uns der Ausländer blame."

Crime is increasing in all countries. Of course, there are many factors, but the inflation and poverty rates are also increasing too rapidly. There is a direct link between poverty and crime. That's a no brainer. Again, I'm not denying the presence of other factors.

Maybe in the mid 2000's things could have been prevented. Now Germany has criminal clans that were so violent the hells angels lost the cities. Especially islamists have a strong hold on the underworld structures. It is too late now and especially since 2015 war has been imported. Wether you call it a war or not it is there and at the moment there is no fighting back. Once that starts the other side is going all out. We have seen it all over Asia in the past 30 years.

My local German immigration office makes the immigrants wait outside for their appointments. No cover, any weather. I did once see them let a family with a literal newborn inside to wait in the waiting office. But I’ve also seen them make babies wait outside in the sun and rain too

I’m German and this is what my kid’s paediatrician does. Got a fever? Wait till they randomly call you back (if at all) and then wait outside in the rain for an hour. In other words, it’s not specifically against immigrants, it’s just outrageous German normalcy.
