This movie was absolutely amazing. The next Violet Evergarden Movie is coming...it was shown in Japan in September. This is one of those anime that it is perfectly okay to have emotions.

The entire movie/series is basically a former military weapon getting in touch with both her emotions (love/compassion specifically) while writing letters for other people... She lost both of her arms in the process of being this military weapon. Not really much in the way of action, light steampunk vibe, but mostly a sort of slice of life styled show. If you're into that kind of thing I strongly suggest it, if not I still strongly suggest it, I was never into that genre but this show had me balling on several occasions, really well done. Shows name is violet evergarden.
