That was an extremely close match, as it just went back and forth. I thought that Bazel's bombs would give him a big enough advantage to take the win, but the speed and agility of Mizu was too much it would seem. This fight could really have gone either way though, and I hope to see these two in a rematch in a possible tournament. It was a fun fight to watch and both monsters gave us quite the show as it was very flashy with all the explosions everywhere.

キツネ ・泡ブレスが命中安定の火力技として優秀。出が早くて遠近両対応かつほぼ必中で複数ヒット、しかも基本技なので頻度も高いと欲しい性能が全て揃っている ・近接でも設置爆炎が普通に優秀。ヒット数が多い上に移動のついでにも出せる ・ほとんどの近接技においてモンスターへの「めり込み」が強く、命中率が高い ・距離を取る、大きく回り込む、などの行動が多いため、攻撃を避けやすい。特にバゼルには極めて有効 ・直線ブレスに謎の多段判定あり ・総じて、コンスタントに火力を出す性能が高い。理論値の権化たるバゼルとは対極の性能で、相性はかなり良い バゼル ・理論上は最強の火力の持ち主。終始ボコられていたのに接戦になったのは瞬間火力の高さ故 ・紅蓮状態の爆鱗は、攻撃から間を置いて爆発するため、特定の怯み周期を持つモンスターに対してはハメが成立する ・モーションが遅い。大振りな技が多く技を出す前に怯まされがちで、かつ怯みモーションも長いので怯みループに入りやすい ・信用できる移動技がない。通常移動はかなり遅く、地上突進技は遅い上に移動距離も足りない。一気に距離を詰められる技は低空摩擦爆破のみ ・そもそもモンスターバトルにおいて「飛ぶ」という行為が弱い。飛んだところで攻撃は避けられないし、空中で怯まされると着地のための隙が必要で、いつまでも着地出来ずに空中で嵌められがち ・キツネがほぼ全ての攻撃の予備動作で大きく移動するため、バゼルギウスが最も火力を出せる「3秒後の目の前」にいてくれない

Well, can’t really be to surprised. Bazel was up against a more developed and difficult monster, with fireblight spam. Him being so easy to knock out of his seething mode for huge amounts of free damage also played a huge part in this. Seething is still the best explosive monstie in my eyes.

These monster vs monster battles in Rise are way more entertaining than World, please dont stop making them

Quiet a explosive Battle. Nice to see something somewhat balanced and close. Not like thats rare, but still both deserve a good Run.

An epic fight between two elder dragon level monsters

Damn, nearly clutched it in the end there! Still proud of ya, Seething Bazelgeuse! Seems that Violet Mizutsune is just an absolute menace with those flaming bubbles, which is a real far cry from normal Mizutsune being a bit lackluster in Monster-on-Monster fights.

This fight was awesome especially when seething turned violent’s own move against it

Being a seething bazel fan, this one was stressful. I thought he had a chance when he dropped the big bubble on violet, but then he got overwhelmed again. ah well, still a good fight.

I really thought for a moment that Seething could get this. The area denial was extremely powerful after it knocked Violet's Spirit Bomb on it. But what really surprised me was that Mizu managed to to deal enough damage to Bazel's tail. In the Turf War Deathmatches I've seen so far, everything other than head focused damage was much more incidental, so that explosion was completely unexpected. Just goes to show how juicy that hitzone is when you can get some good damage in there. Both had good area damage, with Seething having the edge overall, but Violet just had that bit more precision needed to win.

I remember bazelgeuse being unbeatable in these monster vs monster fights back in iceborne due to his explosions. If I recall correctly, there’s a video of bazel beating nergigante in less than 4 minutes! I guess it would take another explosive monster to beat him. Explosion is just too broken in these monster vs monster mod fights.

I'm surprised but not surprised. I didn't think Bazels explosions would give mizutsune that much problem to the point that he'd get toppled every 3 minutes but he actually held out. V-mizu is waaay more aggressive, alot faster and has more range in his attacks so he could keep Bazel away for the most part + hit him out of the air

Gg, such a violent and intense fight!!!, I was sticking with nuke man, but yeah..., Violet's flamable gel substance attacks, bubbles and long distanced attacks made him got the upper hand

I was rooting for Violet and thought he would win because he is more agile but still watching Seething in this arena was painful to watch, many times the ledge that has spider on it has messed up his attacks, hopefully there's a rematch soon on a different map. Seething wasn't fighting only Mizu here, he was also fighting against the arena that limited his abilities.

Well, with the recent zinogre vs astalos fight and now this, this is the second time in a row that the weeaboo monster beats up the flying wyvern.

That was awesome, lots of explosions and roars. Say, mind if I run an idea by you MSS, what if you had a fight between shagaru magala and afflicted gore magala, just an idea, but I'd love to see a fight between true darkness and light.

紅蓮滾るバゼルギウスは爆燐が強力ですが、動きが鈍いので、タマミツネ希少種の攻撃が当たりやすかった感じですね。 後、個人的に見てみたい勝負としては、 タマミツネ希少種vsジンオウガ通常個体 怨嗟響めくマガイマガドvs激昂したラージャン 怨嗟響めくマガイマガドvs紅蓮滾るバゼルギウスです。

Damn violet mizu does insane damage

Seething and Violet are evenly matched in a way that looks like Bazelgeuse and Deviljho from World: their fights can go either way. In the latter case though Bazel seems to usually be the victor since his bombs are counted individuals instead of grouped like in Rise so they add up much more. Here though they're pretty even...or would've been if not for the arena. Because for some reason (likely to look 'cooler') they stuck them in the Forlorn area that Seething is very explicitly not fought in and it's shown why here by Seething constantly clipping or getting stuck on the terrain in ways that completely fucked with it's attack pattern. Almost every single moment of this having to do with that one tiny edge that the Marionette Spider is on. While Mizu's attacks meanwhile go through that ledge, giving it a huge advantage due to not being hindered by the environment. Thus a fight that would be pretty evenly-sided I think ended up getting heavily lopsided not because of the monsters themselves but because they had to fight in a very, very terrible arena choice that skewed it in the favor of one of them. Just stick them in the giant open circle. Nothing gets stuck in there. Watching Seething constantly 'flying' and then getting stuck on a hitbox while Mizu dances around that ledge was painful to watch. This turned what would've otherwise been an objectively good/even fight into a much more onesided array simply because of bad management. Seriously, you don't need 'flashy' arenas, just use the standard one that has nothing to get stuck on for it's intended purpose! You're not allowed to fight Bazel there for a reason. I wouldn't care so much if it hadn't had such a huge impact on the fight. I know you guys can do better because you have done better before, just use the normal arena or at least pick an environment actually suited for both combatants and make sure that neither of them suffer issues in it. How you didn't pick up on this I don't get.
