I've been reviewing my Minuet no. 3 and this video nailed every problem I was trying to find words for. I have problems with coordinating between the fingers, particularly in the part where I cross from the D to A string near the beginning of the piece. The notes "bleed over" and I eventually noticed it was because I was pulling up my left fingers too early. I also run into problems with applying too much force on the bow. What can I say, I've got heavy hands lmao.

Thank you so much for this video! I have been having problems where my left fingers were lifting up while the bow is still on the previous string. This video made me understand the problem. I was wondering why I keep getting open string sounds in between. Also I think sometimes when I press down on the string and try to lift it up, I kind of "move" it to the side a little bit which results in the same unwanted sound. It took me a while to practice pressing down and lifting without snagging the string

Thanks Lora! Came across this at a perfect time. I think I am lifting fingers too early. I am revisiting Minuet 2 and hearing the extra noise. This will help solve this mystery!

Hi! While trying Sevcik Op 1 Book 1 #11, My 1st finger on D would also stick on A therefore in crossing to A I won't be able produce the correct tone. :( Can you help me with this?

I have a very sticky third finger on D string!
