Durability will improve as you keep making specific tools and weapons. This also applies to the amount of animal meat you will get. I killed so many armadillos and turtles that I get 2 shells from one animal... There are 4 types of armor you can make: leaf, stick, armadillo and metal.

It’s not letting me craft the metal axe. I’ve done it the same way you’ve done it. I’m on Xbox S on the new dlc. Grrrr

are you using the basic axe for the mold the one that you make with just a stone and a stick
