People don't fake accents deliberately, if you are someone living abroad from a young age , and you come across a particular accent, you naturally pick it up, believe me nobody deliberately tries, if you just live among 100 people who speak in a certain you tend to pick it up, I used to hate it too but after moving somewhere else I understood their position.

You just want people to have great English but don't know what a correct accent is. Indians speak in an Indian Accent, because Indians are not used to using muscles Americans, Chinese, Koreans or any other person speaking another language.
