Iv been looking into getting the VM38 for my 750 iv heard 40mms are better so I'm a little torn between the VM38 or the VM44

Did you change anything with the carb itself when you switched to the new intake? just bought one and am a little lost

No never changed anything. That is not to say you might need to. Whats the problem?

So, is that a KJS manifold? I've been thinking of doing the single carb conversion for my VS 1100.

No, this manifold is from BIP. Mikuni VM 30 works awesome.

Hay guys carburetor question. I have a 85 yamaha virago xv1000 converted to single carb using a Mikuni HS40. You think a 42.5 pilot jet is to big?

That depends on many things. How do the plugs look?

dual mikuni round slide ask for 22.5-25 pilots jets not sure if you double that for single carb or not.
