She put herself in harm's way trying to help a grown man. She spent time alone in his room. Dangerous! Her parents should have shut that craziness down.

Not all homeless people wants to leave the streets. Some are offered housing but they don't want to abhere by the rules. They've gotten use to that way of life.

Some ppl just don’t want to b helped, they may want the benefits but they don’t want to put in the actual work and effort.

There are people who are homeless because they are down on their luck but there are homeless people who like living that way because they have no rules and can do whatever they want to do on the street. This man does not want a better life just let him be.

There is a reason why many are homeless…mainly drug or alcohol addiction, mental illness or running from the law…some just don’t want to be part of society. We assume that money is the answer for everything and it just isn’t. We assume people want lives like ours and not all do. I also went through something similar as a young married woman with my husband. We were determined to help someone who was homeless that we ASSUMED would want a life similar to ours. He basically let us know that he didn’t. He was good where he was and it was his choice, not just his circumstance. It was a humbling but necessary lesson.

GoFundMe should just give her the money she spent at least. Yes you should feel peace because you did your best.

This lady was being genuine and kind, then it back fires none of this is her fault,she was just doing a good deed god will continue to bless her no matter what happens with the man that was a bad person in his past 🙏🏽

Going into the hotel room with him was really dangerous. There are other ways to help people who are unhoused. I have bout food for a homeless person before but going into the hotel room was super dangerous.

Unpopular opinion, when you 🎥 and do things for clout it isn’t genuine. I know we are in a new day and age where people go all out even in the smallest gestures but if she would’ve just gave him some food and medicine and moved on, or really find out who he was to see how she can help, because all homeless people aren’t there out of misfortune but (as you see) punishment, it wouldn’t have went that far and he get another chance he doesn’t deserve and now she has to watch her back and be harassed 🤷🏾‍♀️ just pay it forward without looking for a pat on your back and move on with feeling gratification from just that! There could be numerous factors at play with him-mental illness, depression, bipolar disorder, or other untreated issues that have persisted throughout his life. Also, it's important to remember that good deeds don’t need a spotlight. Broadcasting them can create unwanted pressure that might make others uncomfortable, which could be part of the reason he disappeared. Do the good work first, ask for permission to record if necessary, and only share it with the world once you’ve seen it through to the end. As mentioned, lesson learned.

I dont know why people are hail bent on saving people from their own karma. We gotta use discernment cause that karmic energy shows us who they are. Here I am that just lost my job after several years and facing possibly being homeless because I didn't get a severance package and got treated horribly by my company after loyalty and hardwork. Applied for hundreds of jobs nothing and I am not mentally ill or a con artist. This makes me angry. I don't ask my family for anything and pray for a miracle. Nothing. I actually help the homeless and now I will probably be homeless in a month. Life I don't understand. Thanks to him people don't trust people.

Lord I'm 63 and I just realized in 2022 to stop helping people. Including family members. It's more selfish evil people in the world than givers. I'm selfish not to help anyone anymore until I die. No one cares. I've been at peace since. I'm not the fixer anymore.

Here from Ennis Tx my guy and I try to think of ways to be of assistance to the homeless. He wanted to do this exact thing except go find me part. He wanted to get a hotel for a night, provide food money and clothes, even suggested allowing them to come to our home to freshen up, have dinner and relax for a while. I told him hell no!

GoFundMe took the money back because of his past. The black man assaulted a white woman years ago and went to prison. But, the woman came forward and complained so they took the money back to satisfy her. They were both homeless. She may have done something to him first. Anyway, he served time for his crime. Now he is an elderly, sick, man who people willingly donated. If he is found, they should give to him personally. I pray he isn't a victim of foul play.

This story can’t be serious! The man asked this woman for money for tea, and in order to seek attention online (create content) she decided to go over board and insert herself into a strangers life and (from what I hear in this story) practically started harassing the man. The woman could have ended up seriously hurt but in her bid to seek attention she didn’t consider that when booking a hotel room for him and going in there alone with him. At no point, did I hear her say that this man asked her for help with anything but a cup of tea. I believe that man was right to run far away from her energy and that money, as she would have used it to try and control him and she would have definitely took a lot of it for herself. I believe she intended to profit from this from the moment he approached her. I would even doubt he approached her.

I only worry about Parents with kids. A lot of people do not want help. It means that they will have to do right. That is usually the reason. He does not like being in the spot light.

When are ppl going to learn that many of the homeless ppl are on the streets because they are trouble. They became homeless because of addictions or some other big personal problem, not because of the typical money problems or else a friend, family member, or relative would have taken them in and in time they would have gotten back on their feet. This lady was trying to use money to solve his problems and that's not his core issue, which is often the case.
