So if none were hitting who else will play the game... Someone should decrease the pressure of the game .so Dhoni forced Jadeja to bat well.. he did ..and in between a mistake happenned .. but that score Jadeja made.. if Dhoni didn't get out would have been a manageable one to him ..to finish the game.... Just watching the game and pinpointing wtever u feel like is so easy ...

Indian batsmen should have held their nerves better. BTW it was brilliant captaincy byKane Williamson along with outstanding bowling and do or die attitude from New Zealand fielders that snatched the game away from India. I always thought that Dhoni must bat no 4 .If Dhoni would have come at no 4 today, then story would have been different. Once again Virat kohli disappointed fans in a big match. Champion trophy final 2017, world cup 2015 semifinal and this match. He didn't live up to expectations.

@@anilsavu2782 but atleast he gave his insights to Jadeja which immensely helped him. Maybe if Hardik Pandya was still there India could have chased this down. After 2011 finals show by Dhoni ( he was criticised that tournament too ) if there was anybody who could have guided other batsman in the middle was Dhoni. Maybe Rishabh could have got a 50/70, then Hardik Pandya got a 50/70 and then finally Dhoni doing what he does best at the last 2/3 overs.

I think Virat is fair in his assessment that the game became challenging after the first 40-45 minutes. You could say perhaps the middle order should have been stronger, but you have to give credit to NZ for there bowling and fielding.
