House show in White Plains, NY back in late 80’s/early 90’s. Sitting ringside and Dusty hit DiBiase and sent $100’s everywhere & Dusty picked em up and started handing them out and gave me one. I was like 12 at the time….then Virgil came over and said “hey kid, that doesn’t belong to you give that back” and Dusty came over and knocked Virgil down and turned to me and said “nah, little man you go buy yourself some polka dots” And I went to the mercy booth and bought Bret Hart Glasses, Hogan bandana and Dusty Shirt.

Virgil is such a misunderstood dude. One photo showing him sitting at a gimmick table years ago made him a meme. Regardless, not many folks can say they've worked with as many icons as Virgil. I really like the guy and appreciate what he's done for wrestling.

Virgil is a survivor. He did it the right way. He never was about the partying, taking drugs, taking steroids. He was all about his money. He made sure he was reliable always stayed in shape and he's worked with so many great wrestlers through the years. You got to give the man respect. Another important thing, you never hear him talk bad about anyone, at least not in this interview. Everybody was a "good guy" in his words.

It has nothing to do with that, I could name a few wrestlers who’ve been nice and positive and still gave a great shoot interview. The problem here is that Virgil is a terrible interview! He just kept repeating the same lines, didn’t engage, barely elaborated on anything and was uninterested. You have to bare in mind that Virgil was paid for this and it most definitely wasn’t worth whatever he was paid! “Such a great interview” you must be easily pleased!

I’ve just said that it had nothing to do with him *not* saying anything negative and that there are some really good shoot interviews where wrestlers have spoken positively of others. Again…the interview was bad not because Virgil didn’t speak negatively about anyone but because he’s just a terrible interview! He didn’t engage, elaborate and just kept repeating the same things, he said absolutely nothing of any merit! I like to watch shoot interviews to get an idea of the wrestlers life behind the scenes and what it was like to work with some of the greats etc, nothing was learnt here at all! I have said nothing of wanting Virgil to speak negatively 🙄

@@billy4892 Hannibal was patient with Virgil, possibly too patient. Virgil was bang average in the wresting industry, never did anything of note apart from kick the basketball away from the kid. Like many I disliked the insincerity of Virgil, liking everyone and clearly taking bull. If he was talented I could be more lenient but he never was.

Not going to lie, Virgil had a nice little match with Bret Hart. I think it was a Superstars taping in '92, I believe. Virgil and Bret could've worked more in my opinion. They wrestled well.

I met Virgil in Coney Island in the summer of 2011,Virgil was very funny acting interms of charging 30.00 for an autograph which was ridiculous and disrespectful. The pictures I take with Sting,AJ Styles and Rob Van Dam costed 10.00 each. Virgil was rude with his price.
