I'm not a drummer , I'm a singer& song writer...but I really wish if I were! And I wish if I did follow these breath takingly amazing drummers! ( is this a right English? Lol) And people like you out there putting those videos are much needed ! For the music fans & drummers themselves! They do deserve more attentions & respects & love from all the music fans!!! If the drummer can't do the job well , then there will not be a band! You could still have a singer goes off , or with a limited range & skills..., or the guitarists with bad habits...or a bass player can't keep up with a pocket..., but if a drummer is sucking , then you'll all go down! They are like the captain of a ship....if they are bad ...we'll SINK WITH HIM! DRUMMERS ARE THE EL CAPTAINS! So, I've got a huge admiration & love & respect for drummers now !!! Sadly something I / we all should've known from the begining....

That's what thousands of hours of practice produces.

probably hundreds of thousands in Virgil's case. this guy is unbelievable.

He has committed all his life to it. It's a total and absolute discipline. He's like a drum monk. 10-16 /24 of practice, and I guess he has to sleep and eat to regain his stamina somehow. Think about that for a second, how much sacrafices does this style of life really needs. It's kind of scary.
