Virgin Atlantic Upper Class Experience London to Barbados (A330-300)

2 жыл бұрынHey everyone it’s Jamie here! I managed to bag a very good deal for an upper class ticket on my recent flight with Virgin Atlantic on an A330-300 from London Heathrow to Barbados. This isn’t the first time I’ve flown with Virgin Atlantic (or upper) but it is the first time I’ve ‘turned left’ and experienced the upper class life with this airline. Here’s my experience from start to finish! I hope it’s of use and as always, drop your comments and / or questions below; I’d lii on be to hear from you!

Great video Jamie, and great to hear that you bagged a great deal on this route. Miss Virgin and their 747 on flights from Glasgow to the US. You make everyone feel like they are travelling with you!

I like Virgin. I think they have good customer service and just are so down to earth. Always enjoy my flights with them. Did you visit the Club House ...now that is good ! Great video.

I love virgin upper class, problem is once you’ve done it you don’t want to got back 😳 we had extremely quick check in previously and I actually felt guilty walking past a huge security queue! I’m a very nervous flyer before hand and the staff have always been excellent (the champagne and wine help though 😂)

Ha! Well since this flight I’ve had a further two, one premium (that vid is out today) and one economy. I travel a lot so couldn’t do upper all the time 😂

@@TravelBlogJamie we don’t either! Sometimes you just see it at a good deal and it’s a lovely treat. Premium is good too. I’ve always really enjoyed using Virgin to fly with, great service

Totally agree. After flying 1st time you just can't face travelling long haul any other way. Great experience and compared to BA far better product and value imo

Looks fantastic! You’ve definitely got me thinking about looking at Barbados. Did the crew mind you filming? I watch a lot of flight vloggers and they often comment on having to be secretive about filming.

No they were absolutely fine but you have to ask if you are going to feature someone! My Barbados 🇧🇧 vlog is out on Saturday if you want to have a peep 👀

Thanks for another fantastic video Jamie 🤩 Well this looks like an absolutely perfect way to start a holiday! We would definitely be up for flying Upper class (if the pennies can stretch to it 😆). Has it ruined non-upper class flight for you, or is it a nice luxury to have if the price is right? Oh, and we are absolutely people who walk on a travelator 😁

Thank goodness you are walkers or we wouldn’t be able to connect any more 😂 No, hasn’t ruined ‘usual’ flight travel although the leg room on our flight to Dubrovnik this week was ouch 😣

Havent flew with virgin before but we are looking to use our virgin points next year. Great video, gives us an idea on layout as we will have a 20 month old by the time we fly ans cant decide whats best.

@@TravelBlogJamie yes I think so. Upper doesn't seem worth it even with my virgin points. Only problem with premium is I believe the arm rests don't come up to lay the baby across us both haha.

Great video! Food and drinks looked good and enough space but not my favourite layout for business class. I love going to the bar on a flight. The Emirate A380 is my all time favourite business class experience. Was lounge access included?

Agreed about configuration. Felt like limited space compared to other upper class experiences. Lounge access included but I was too busy shopping 😂😂😂

Agree the A330 layout could be better. Hopefully the new A330 Neos will be in service soon. That layout looks fabulous

Your check-in took long because you went through T3. Not sure if you travelled by public transport but most of the Upper Class check-in staff would've been in the Upper Class Wing. I always travel through there: no handling of your baggage, plenty of staff, simple/quick walk to private security channel. Reckon takes me 15 mins max from arrival to clearing security and on my way to the Lounge

@@TravelBlogJamie When you went up the lift it bought you to the end bit of the Upper Class Wing ie that short private security channel The main wing, from private road entrance, the advantages are porters on arrival, far more check in staff and sofas to relax in.

That depends on where you’re flying to and what views you want, I’d imagine? Otherwise, left, right, makes no difference
