Pumpkins should do more damage depending on the speed of the target, like every other non-projectile weapons in the game. This would be a great way to bully sweaty full armor horse riders ! I didn't get a single kill with it yet, it's just to hard to aim with.

My friends recently shawmed up a dwarf quartet, convinced people we were friendly by going full vuvuzela to their faces, surrounded them and danced/strafed around them like magical forest pixies, then spontaneously switch to a weapon and promptly kick them to death. You can also throw shawms like javelins nearly got a warden kill (I finished him off with a quarterstaff). Much trolling was done that day.
