Virginia Councilwoman EXPLODES On Lawmakers During Meeting After They Reneged On Vote

2 жыл бұрынA local Virginia lawmaker, is fed up with the lies being circulated in city council.
Portsmouth City Councilwoman Lisa Lucas Burke went off after the city council voted to oust city manager Angel Jones in a 4-3 vote. Burke was particularly upset that several of her fellow councilmembers renigged on their decision to keep the city manager in her current position.
When asked to apologize, Burke issued this tweet.
"I've been told I owe an apology for the language I used this week. I agree. I apologize for not saying it sooner."

I live in this area. The City of Portsmouth government has been corrupt for some years now. I'm not surprised at all. Just tonight, the city council wanted to replace the city manager with the ex- police chief of Portsmouth (Tanya Chapman) who was forced to resign from that position some years ago. It's crazy!

The Council Woman is just as corrupt as the other Council Members! The ONLY REASON she is exposing the corruption is because she lost a fight and is upset about it. It feels SO good to see this woman and any person speak up, when they are lied to and spy shady shenanigans. The idiots on the council didn't even have enough integrity and respect to respond to her claims. Instead, the cowards immediately cry for a recess. I applaud her for speaking out.

lashon Tolbert: I agree with your comment. I had a white director left the job and was rehired. I became his Admin. again. Once he had an attitude with another director over a conflict of a conference room in use. Wanted me to ask this director and his staff to move for his meeting. I went to my office sat down counted to 10......... I then went to the scheduler and asked was there a vacant conference room available? Scheduler said yes, I went to my director and said your meeting can be in conference room X, it's available for your next two meetings. My director did not like my decision, I could tell by the look he gave me, but he could tell I was not happy with him asking me to be disrespectful to another director. I just was not having him trying to make me be the bad Black women in the office with the two white directors. Even if they were 2 Black directors I would have made the same decision. I was very proud of ME for not letting my dignity be taking away. The rest of the day went well. I think after that my director knew I was with him if he was right and not if he was wrong. Sometimes it's just the small things. Our scheduler and co-workers knew then I was not about the foolishness with any of the directors. PERIODT!
