Hello: Just want to say thanks for all the great content, how to fish with the jigging method. I have picked up some Spartans and mini jigs. The Spartans have been working so good. Love fishing this way with light micro rod. Super fun. Got a new kayak, still on the learning curve for sure setting hook etc. Placed second order of Spartans yesterday…. In clear water got some trout color and color others can’t wait. Please let me know next year when you go back to pyramid Lake I live 20 minutes love to watch! I will have to get that gold fish bait for sure. Been watching your video’s. I have been fishing up in the mountains near Truckee. Thanks again!

Thanks for the video. Beautiful fish. I love Virginia Lakes. I haven't caught much there but I have to fish from shore. It is good to see there was still snow there. Last Sept when I was there, there was no snow.

You are supposed to take the tag fish to Ken’s tackle in Bridgeport and get a picture and you get a spot in a derby but I have never done that . I’ve gotten around 16 in the last 2 years alone and never take them

Estevan, it really sounds like your pinion gear in that reel needs a dose of Lubriplate grease. It screams when you're reeling in. Not a good sound.

That’s just the carbon fiber drag . It’s only a few weeks old and has been lubed lots it works like a Rolex trust me I have 2 the exact same both are exactly the same .

@robfowler54 no so when you set your rod down it won’t scratch the reel .. that’s a $460 reel with $250 in upgrades I want to keep it nice but it’s also for looks also I rarely ever set it down .

@@GoldenStateFishing yeah I totally agree. I never ever let my reel touch dirt or sand. When I set my reel down it gets put on a rag but never touches the ground.

It’s phenix 5lb braid but you must you a leader I use a 7-8ft 4lb fluorocarbon leader . If you are newer to jigging I recommend 2lb maxima . The braid to fluorocarbon you must use a connection knot I use a Albright or double uni and it’s a difficult knot to learn and must clip it flush or it won’t work.
