Man!! Nostalgia watching this! Randomly looking up HBCU bands and came across this video! Let me tell you from experience, the music program at VSU is like no other. The gospel choir, band and concert choir just to name a few are phenomenal YEAR AFTER YEAR! They really put on a performance. A few years after this, the gospel choir (in this video) was also on America's Got Talent!!! Go VSU!!!!!

I'm A Tuba Guy and Horsepower Did Their Thing Out There Hopefully If I Get This Music Reading Down So I Will Be There After Graduation. But Besides All that Good Job. (VSU Marching Trojans And Director)

Kudos to the band and the director. It's good to see someone on the podium enjoying himself. As I said before, if you divided the Honda Classic Bands into categories, Virginia State is arguably the best band in the Lean Band Category. Bethune taking best in the Big Band category, and The Aristocrats taking best in the Mid Sized Band category. I'm a native of Norfolk and a graduate of Lake Taylor High. In addition I went on to a wonderful musical career at Tennessee State. V State, awesome!

How do you let a high school shine on your Music Program??? here is a good no..Great question why were they on the Field with yall? Alumni I can understand but High schoolers? come on now. and is that not the drill they did @ Nationals? #ijs
