After a three-hour discussion following years of back-and-forth over possible regulations for hound hunting in Virginia, the conversation is still ongoing.
Dozens of Virginia residents packed themselves into a Department of Wildlife Resources board room in Henrico County on the morning of Thursday, Jan. 18. All of them were there to speak out on the topic of hound hunting -- when hunters use dogs to help find game.
"We hunt and we love it, and we ain't going nowhere," said one hound hunter during the public comment period. "Because this is in my blood, I ain't going nowhere."
