Nick Ortner is the CEO of The Tapping Solution, a company with the aim of bringing Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) into the mainstream.
Whilst maintaining mental focus on a negative issue or emotion, tapping involves using your fingertips to tap on nine specific meridian points of the body.

@@chopsuey25 everyday is different .. but getting better . consistently tapping helps . Even when you’re not having a full blown anxiety attack … it’s lowering your stress levels . This helps better when incorporated in to your day .. but it only takes 5 min .

I have been having severe anxiety all day. I was at the point of thinking of going to the urgent care. I remembered reading about tapping for anxiety years ago and decided to try it. I felt much better within 5 minutes I went from a 10 to a 2. Unbelievable!

Omg I’m crying I cannot believe how much this helped me today. I was spiraling, overthinking, couldn’t take deep breaths, tight all over, short of breath and dizzy….. but this simple technique just relaxed and brought me back to the now & im shocked.

I have a nerve issue and it is triggered by my emotions so anxiety set it into overdrive usually a panick attack and puking involved.. I will try this. I’m just extra sensitive as well I cry over movies and shows and music… tryna figure it out

I've been using EFT for 20 years and I'm still quite amazed at the effects. Recently I was able to stop a panic attack that happens when I get put on the spot do you speak or perform. Because the effect was so immediate it lasted long after I did the tapping.

@@starluna8096 Hi - State what you're unhappy about. For example, lack of confidence would be one round. Then near the end, state that you're feeling confident. Copy Nick's procedure and substitute your challenge.

I never comment on anything but this actually brought my physical anxiety down significantly. My mind is still somewhat in an anxious state but my body has let go of some of those feelings. I suffer from depersonalization and derealization which can take me sort of out of my body and somehow this tapping brought me back into it and made it feel like mine again. I don’t know the science behind this but it would definitely help me get out of a panic or anxiety attack.

Did this before my exam today as anxiety was getting the better of me. 5 minutes and i suddenly felt like i could breathe again. My head felt at ease. Thank you for sharing this.

OMG I'm amazed at how instantly this actually works. I was just in the hospital the other day with a severe panic attack and I started doing some research on TikTok and someone recommended the tapping on KZfaq so I looked it up and found you. Thk God. Since my hospital stay I've been on a rollercoaster ride with my anxiousness. I will not take medication either for anxiety so this was heaven sent. Thk u. You can't imagine how excited I am.

Thanks! I read up on how to do it, but I just had to see someone demonstrate it for me. As a person who suffered for 15 years due to severe anxiety and panic disorder, I'm impressed at how well this works. You can even do it in public or at work with one hand and it looks completely natural. I've seen a lot of doctors, and not one recommended this technique.

Look into Andras Moritz liver flushing and TC Hale course on digestion. Anxiety has to do with digestion/bile flow and breathing. Clean ur liver! Sorry you are suffering.

As someone that’s been under tremendous stress and has been on medication to help reduce my anxiety I have tried meditation in the past and it’s helped only slightly but this tapping worked really well for me. I think it can be paired with meditating or affirmations but it honestly took me out of fight or flight mode for the first time in months and for that thank u

Thank you for this! The hardest thing about tapping is remembering to do it! I only remember when I am stressed already and then I find it harder to do because I am so wound up. The key is to do it before that happens!

So soothing and and comforting. I did it twice and feel totally relaxed and at peace. I lost my husband to covid. I have been an emotional wreck for 20 months with no reprieve from the grief, crying, depression, PTSD and anxiety. This helped me better than reaching for a Xanax. Thank you so much for sharing with us. I'm obsessed with this already. It's amazing how much calmer it makes you feel. ♥️🌹♥️

I lost both my parents mom to covid and dad to cancer. Its been 24 months and the greif doesn't go. Yoga and kapalabhati helps a lot. Sending love and healing to you.

I am sorry about both of your losses. I just lost my husband on Friday my anxiety is off the roof I do not wish this on no one I don’t even want to be in the is world I will try this. Keeping you both and everyone going through this in prayers I am not sure if I will survive this pain is too much

in my part of the world they say that when you lose someone you love they integrate inside you permanently. its a subtle shift but if you allow, you will feel they have become a part of you. in mannerisms, ideas, feelings. it might be too early and your loss is too fresh. its unimaginable pain. but all ill say is just hang in there today. and do it again tomorrow. he would have wanted you to.@@stopchildabuse7932

I've been doing EFT tapping for several months now with my therapist. It absolutely does ratchet down the level of anxiety that I have been feeling and helps me to clear my head enough to rationally and calmly work through the issue that's the source of my anxiety. I honestly thought at first that this was "woo-woo" B.S., but I can't argue with the results.

Thank you so much for posting this. In all honestly, I was willing to try this but had no real expectations and probably leaned a bit to the cynical..but I’d try anything to feel better. This is wonderful, I haven’t done this in years. Glad to do it not that I have extreme anxiety, but certain things will piss me off.,,, and I had tend to hold onto it for a day or two then I don’t sleep well so I did this tonight and I’m feeling better. Omg I have been having horrible health anxiety with a headache all day, and have trouble controlling it. I randomly saw an ad about tapping, and googled it. This was the first result. I am not one to emotionally release, but I was suddenly in tears at the last cycle. It actually worked. Nothing like this has ever worked for me before.

@@moonglow7303for The palpitations You can have magnesium deficiency, it's an Easy fix, buy some magnesium I'm using citrate, 400mg a day. If you feel improvement after The first day means you needed that magnesium.

Ive recently been wakeing up in crazy anxiety episodes and its very new to me at 53 yrs old ive never experienced anything quite like it … Ive been very scared and emotional over alot of very big changes in my life …. I was recently in a bad work accident and forced into early retirement that i was NOT ready for . Ive also just gotten custody of my two young sons aand moved very far from where i grew up and lived my whole life … ty for the help ! ❤

😊 thank u so much! A friend told me to look this up cause am going threw some severe anxiety and agoraphobia. I tried this and it really helped me! I was at a 10 and now a 4. This is going to be a game changer. Anybody else on here that has severe anxiety this really works along with reading or listening to Claire weeks. She's a dr from Australia and she has a couple books u should look into or u can even listen to her on audible for free. But with listening to her and trying this it has really helped. ❤
