That got a good victory laugh out of me. "Wait! What?! No way! Ah ha ha ha ha! My lasers are better than your lasers!" (No it's not really me playing. I'm just imagining being in that position. Plus that was/still is my favourite robot.)

I grew up in Maui, so arcades were very modest. You had fun factory and tilt; the latter went out of business pretty quickly. Anyway, fun factory at the Queen Kaahumanu Mall had virtual on! You had to climb into the seat like climbing into a cockpit, very clever design. This was around the time Gundam Wing was big, so for my buddy and I to live out our mech-fighting fantasies was like pure heroin. We always dreamed of going to the mega arcades in Tokyo, or hell, even a real arcade on the mainland. But fun factory had Virtual-on, baby. That was enough. ☺️🤙🏻🏝🤖

Wow! I grew up in Honolulu and remember the best arcade I’ve ever played (at least as a kid) at the Ala Moana mall. I believe it had this and Police 911 as my two favorites. That place inspired my love for arcades to this day.

Oh man, the player in this video is even using my favourite suit! Landing a hit with those lasers was so satisfying! I played this at air cadet camp. A heat wave went through so regular programming was cancelled and going outside was strictly for travelling between buildings. Being outside was advised against. There was an arcade under the mess hall, so there we were. In the arcade was two machines of this game. They were linked and cadets could verse each other. When I got there, there was a guy on the left who had been beating everyone who climbed in the seat on the right. The guy was using the slim one with the heart shaped ranged attack. It also had a sword and it did a lot of damage. The guy was beating others with that. After watching him enough and seeing other suit choices enough from other people playing, I decided to hop in the seat on the right and ask the guy if I could play against him. I went with the suit with the two big shoulder lasers, and that is exactly how I got him. I avoided letting him get too close until I had gotten his health down low enough that a hit from my lasers would finish him. Timed it just right to where he was too close to react and dodge, but not too close that he could get me. The eruption in that arcade when the guy who had been always winning was finally beat... I beat him again too, with the lasers again too. This time after jumping and the lasers split into a total of four lasers. The guy was keeping his distance this time, and by complete chance one of the four lasers that goes off to a side got him in a corner of the field form almost across the whole field.
