This song still sounds pretty new, even for 2019. Of course, Virtual Riot's music is two years ahead of the trend. While everyone was making future house and electro in 2016, Virtual Riot makes Future Bass (which wouldn't become mainstream until early 2017, and reach peak popularity in 2018-19).

Ummm... "Come back" to house... considering this is technically his first go at it. I'm going to assume you meant his non-hard dropping side. The Emotional remix has a great melodic feel to it so I really don't understand how he left the melodic side. He is free to do what he wishes. If you want REALLY melodic stuff, go to his Facebook, and look around his timeline for a video where it says "I am so sorry". Best song in the entire house genre... yes. Much yes.
