This is the first song my daughter heard when she was born. I felt it was the best way to bring her into our universe. She is two now and the sweetest child ever. After showing her this song I got to see Virtual Self live at EDC on the bar in the middle at the very front. I’ve never been more thankful for a DJ in my life and love this side project.

It was always intriguing to me the way the video paints the picture of like a place that’s empty of people. Like a place that exist either no one has ever been to or a place built by people long gone now.

My interpretation of the song is that which connects to a project I'm working on, and this song has really inspired me. In my mind, the main character was in cryo-stasis and now that he's awake, his AI is reminding him of what he has to do now that he's woken up. And he's woken up to a world unlike that which he left it as. 3 forces battle for control: the last vestiges of society (and not just humans) who want to survive, the plague known as The Swarm which creates zombie-like hive creatures out of the infected who are still able to wield weapons and interact with their environment, and an ever-growing expanse of quartz-like crystals with the only goal of turning everything to a crystalline version of itself. As for the video, it represents an area where the main character emerged from, with a flower made of pure energy acting as a power source and a housing for the AI. The AI is trying to remind him of who he was, an angel to the people, and someone to be feared by his foes. And even though those days are long gone, he has to restore balance where it has ripped itself apart.

I think all the visuals have in common is: Life. I think the AI is trying to create life but of course it can't because life is something so complicated and beyond AI as something like emotions can't be reconstructed by AI so yeah.

This feels as if you were floating up on water, looking up towards the sky during a sunrise or sunset, you feel as if the water wraps on the half-submerged part of your body in a comforting, yet restraining way. This song takes me back to my junior year when it was first released. I was visiting my grandma’s house that particular week, so listening to this makes me feel like I’m back in her guest room. I was also watching Code Lyoko at the time, and I was marveling at how similar the aesthetics are. It makes me want to rewatch Code Lyoko.

The first notes reminded me of Emotional Skyscraper ~ Cosmic Mind I'm not a fan of Porter Robinson but I've been listenting to his music for years, and this one is one of the best that you made. Something really important for me when I listen to music is that a song must send a message but not with words, only with the melody, and here I feel it. It's really nice to listen to something like this, well done!
