It's like Gordeeva and Grinkov. The quality of the skating and this program is pretty much a masterpiece so that the total quality is so superior that it allows for one mistake. They just have a special "something" that no other team had.

The difference between the two teams is that T&S skate as one. They have an incredible connection and chemistry. The Americans are phenomenal skaters and ice dancers but there is not much connection between them. This is not something that can be taught unfortunately.

Yea! British Eurosport coverage! No other commentators can compare to Nicky Slater, Chris Howarth and the estimable Simon Reed. Thanks for this. :-)

Not only you see Tessa and Scott skate, but also hear British commentators :) They are the best commentators ever , I mean....they are just as good commentators, with so much passion and perfect timing, as Scott and Tessa are skaters lol

@seanpenn100 No, sean, they got the score they deserved, I think, and I agree with everything everyone has said here, but Scott bobbled on the twizzle, and they were a wee bit ahead of the music which didn't give the dance the "oomph" it needed. BUT, they will make sure the next time they spot check themselves especially with the timing of the music crescendos. Still, if they "felt' good, then, I'm happy for them!! Very happy!

@cahmilllex I agree. Davis & White are talented and incredibly fast, but yes, they do much more two footed skating, which is easier.

why did they change the second part of their spin? Also, I find davis and white a little overrated. Sure, I enjoy watching them skate but, they are not dancers- no leg extensions or pointed feet. They also do a lot of two foot skating in comparison to these two. Virtue and Moir's programs are deceptively difficult because they take their time with every move, whereas davis and white sometimes flail.. many times on two feet.

@HelTra91 I quite agree. :L While I absolutely love Tessa and Scott, and their FD, I didn't quite find it in good taste, if you will, that this commentator should so bluntly state his opinion against Meryl and Charlie's program. Yes, Virtue/Moir and Davis/White are two very different teams, with two very different styles, but that doesn't necessarily make one better than the other. I adore certain aspects of both pairs. -And love them dearly. ;)

to say that D/W had no passion and that their POTO program is boring, is just, wrong.

@seanpenn100 I think Daisuke Takahashi has the best Phantom ever but if you want to see Davis and White in an ethereal program like this one, you should see their Samson and Delilah FD from 2009. It's excellent!

Has anyone seen the Worlds's Exhibition or Gala skate??

Even though I prefer D/W, I have no qualms about V/M being the more elegant and romantic team and this FD shows it. I thought they performed beautifully but I think there was some vilification of the Olympic result here.

devo dire che a distanza di tempo questo programma mi lascia perplessa...la musica è splendida ma forse non si addice a questo tipo di elementi, lui è leggermente forzato, lei mi convince di più e dire che non appena li ho visti è stato colpo di fulmine ma analizzzando meglio c'è qualcosa che non ha fuhzionato. Per carità è un programma di livello altissimo, pregiatissimo ma, ripeto, a distanza di tempo, quell'entusiasmo che aveva scatenato in me si è spento ed è un vero peccato

Anybody can skate to poto lets see davis and white try pink floyd or Mahler.

Beautiful program, but mistakes especially on the twizzles. Davis and White skated a flawless and very difficult program. D/W should have won.

Virtue and moir should have won the fd outright even with the small mistakes that phantom program was just boring, all tricks no passion.
