My reload indicators have small plastic pieces on them, they're impossible to take out

Haaa! I got it without the video. I installed an FDE Color Kit to my black Spire3 which fits perfect my GTEK 160R in black / earth. The windows and on/off button can be a bit tricky but at the end it's really simple and logic. Thank you very much for this awesome loader :-)

As others have stated, the reload indicators are virtually impossible to install with the clear piece on newer models. Had to go without them for the time being. If we can get a follow up vid on how to install them with clear piece, that’d be great

Just an FYI this works for the Spire 5 as well in case you're a dork like me and have to buy 2 spires to get an accent change! Just don't have to swap indicators and the spire stickers as there are none. I need to make a video I guess? Hurry up Virtue, sell accent kits or clear shells for the old school throwback!

Yeah I just bought the new come kit and the reload indicator is identical to the original. It's got no cover for paint. Can you please post a video explaining how to put the LED indicator back on so we don't have two open hold on either side of the hopper.

is the color rim the same fit on the spire 4? example. I want to change the color kit from my spire 3 to my spire 4.. but just the rim and nothing else. please advise

For the reload indicators! I took a hobby knife and shaved a tiny bit off the clear piece, about 1mm. It was enough to let the assembled pieces lock in but not fall out

In regards to the reload indicators, do you put the clear plastic piece in before or after installing in the hopper

It is almost impossible to get the clear plastic piece in after you install the colored piece. I installed mine first, then from the inside of the shell I pushed the front fork into place, then with with a micro fiber cloth between my fingers and the thick end of the indicator i pushed toward the fork and out at the same time. It might also help to pick up a small screwdriver set and use the flat head to pry back on the colored indicator portion while pushing it outward. Took an hour for my first color kit install and 15 minutes for the second.

The reload pieces were a huge pain, other than that went together ok.

They don’t say opening it wont be the same after doing upgrades. If you see in the beginning of the video how easily he pressed the open button and the hopper opened and then watch at the end when he is done with the upgrades, he cannot open it as easily.

lol I have a spire 3 that’s been used really good and you can’t open it easily either, more locking seems like a good thing to me especially when I’m diving or crawling around

This is a REALLY difficult process. I really really struggled with the windows and am currently struggling with the reload indicators.

TheBroz the newer reload indicators have a cover to prevent paint from coming in (it was requested by a few players). You need to push at an angle and flex the shell a little.

Virtue Paintball Thanks very much, my thumbs are a bit ruined from struggling with the windows. Just can't quite get the angle right for the indicators.

As I'm working on a 280 I think the windows are more difficult as there's more plastic above them so less ability to flex.

Finally managed to get them out. First by pinging out the clear plastic parts first which meant they were a lot more flexible to bend out. Next challenge, put together the new parts and get them back in.

They will be coming on line in the next few days. We wanted to get this video up before they start hitting the street because there are a few extra steps with the hinge system and the windows.
