This video explains how the viscosity of a fluid can be measured, using a Redwood Viscometer.
An experiment was conducted in order to determine the viscosity of 10W-40 synthetic engine oil at a range of temperatures, by first using the Redwood viscometer to find the viscosity in Redwood seconds and then finding kinematic viscosity using a basic conversion graph.
