Flat and linear are easier and less expensive. (that is why they decide to keep with this design) Curves are harder and expensive to build.

It is less alien because of the shapes, sharper shapes would make it not fit in. Round shapes make it fit the earth more.

As you have continued the VISION projects we see the massive creative talent reservoir within the Mercedes Benz group of designers. Disney used to call these groups of people "Imagineers". I think the Disney "Imagineers" have been bested by a power of at least 10. This is one of the most beautiful concept cars in total package I think I've ever seen. People are totally missing the point of this. It's unlikely that this exact car will make it to production and if it does it might take a decade; to bring the price down, to comply with traffic regulations etc but the most important takeaway is that THIS IS POSSIBLE. This car will drive Mercedes and other manufacturers to rethink mobility and user experience, and that is a future worth being excited about.

@NANI?! Sure its made of recycled materials, but only the top 1% can probably afford it and, at that point, they arent buying it because it is made of recycled materials but because of the luxury. This car isnt practical and is just for show

@@BombaJead thats exactly right, even if they say that the materials are partially recycled, the production of this car still consumes a lot of resources and the car needs energy to drive. This thing will probably be so expensive that only a few people will be able to afford it, and individual transport will not solve any ecological problems in the future.
