Saves weight and makes the door easier to open and close and it even becomes stronger/more secure!

Great to see these high end upgrades. One question, is there any carbon fibre used to strengthen the boat in particular the bulkheads. In the balance and the seawind they use carbon in the high stress areas. Given the bulkhead issue these days (lagoon) this is now much spoken about.

I don't think the design (which started from a Matrix 450 mold) did not incorporate carbon fibre. I don't know of any carbon being used in the layup/infusion, but I'll double check. One plus to the 444 is that everything in the boat is glassed in place; meaning no adhesive/caulking to hold in cabinet modules, so that adds a lot of strength throughout. If the bulkheads have to be made small in height anywhere to accommodate the design, carbon is often added to reinforce. The only carbon fibre I know of in the boat is: master cabin sliding door, steering wheel, some of the webbing that connects the solar arch arms to the roof. I'll update if I find out of anything else.
