Visit the Gir forest with President of India through this lion safari video

President Ram Nath Kovind was on visit to Sasan Gir forest near Junagadh in Gujarat with is wife and daughter to have Lion Safari earlier today. He could spot number of Gir lions in this last abode of Asiatic Lions in the world. He also spotted deers and other wild animals. In his series of tweets, Kovind later said: Delighted to visit Gir Wildlife Sanctuary in Gujarat today. Was happy to learn about the conservation efforts that have led to rising population of Asiatic Lions - the pride of India. Come and visit Gir to experience nature at its best. Appreciate the Government of Gujarat, the Forest officials and staff and the people of Saurashtra for their sincere efforts to protect wildlife, making Gir an example of succesful conservation. Let us all do our bit to protect our flora and fauna. Do visit Gir forest with the President in this video and have a feast of watching wild life at Gir. He is staying at Simh Sadan here tonight and would go to Somnath temple tomorrow.

It is good dignitaries visiting and supporting conservation with more vigour after their visit. As a WWF volunteer, one dubious practice (at play sometimes, i have observed) is to bring animals closer to the route of the visiting dignitary by luring the animal in with goodies. I have personally witnessed sacks of salt being used to get Nilgiri Tahrs from the wild to the open for a closer look for the family of a dignitary, at Eravikulam national park, Munnar (Kerala). That should be stopped by all means, i feel.

I quite interested in Gir Forest lions, how well Indians have worked to protect their wild animals. Always reminds me of Jehovah God Almighty's promise of restoring earth to his original creation of Paradise! " And the calf and the lion and the fattened animal will all be together;And a little boy will lead them,"- Isaiah 11:6 But how come so many lionesses n Cubs in this video? Did they know that the president was coming?

Correct. Presidents and governors needs to be abolished in india. What is the use of these people for the public. I am not against any individual.. sone governors like Telangana and AP governor Narasimhan spends lot of money in visiting temples all the time and intervenes in govt duties...
