* no mention of the family that saved the whole building. They have done a wonderful job of keeping the place open. Need to stop by for a burger soon.

So many memories of just smelling the food at the snack bar. I'm a 70's kid and when my mom would go to one of the malls in Memphis, i would beg her to buy me a corn dog and coke/sprite but she refused. Unfortunately, when i was old enough to buy from Woolworths(mid-late 80's), the food wasnt the same.

Amazing that’s great I’m taking my family to dine in this weekend. I remember going to Woolworth with my mom as a child ..

Advocacy journalism never quits. NBC wouldn’t think of offering us an innocent trip down memory lane. The mainstream media conflated actually caring about real Black lives with a particular hard edged often violent political movement. Actually caring about Black lives is vastly different than embracing this radical political movement yet today’s media McCarthyism censors anyone who refuses to follow their lead.

it is by the courthouse in Bakersfield. 2, maybe 3 blocks away. Visited Woolworth with my family as a kid, but never ate in one until now. It was awesome.

This was the best thing ever going there to eat with mom and family.

I remember FWW back in the day. It's great to know that this place exist and as much as I loath whats happened to much of the great state of california, I just might make this an exception of going there again (lol)
