Angkor Wat is a MUST SEE while in Cambodia. We take you around Angkor Wat, learning more about the history and architecture of this incredible wonder of the world.
We visited the top 3 temples within Angkor Park: Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple, and Ta Prohm. We bought the 3 day pass, allowing us to see sunrise and visit the temples on a separate day. It is possible to get a one day pass, and you can visit Angkor Wat at sunrise and the other 2 temples later in the day.

After the war. I went to live in Siem Reap before fleeing the country. Back then, no one took charge of these buildings. Bayon, Ankor Wat, Angkor Thom were deserted like ghost towns. Sometimes, there were a few people and sometimes, I was all alone. I even took a nap inside Angkor because it was cooler.

During Spring Equinox, the Sun rises at the central tower of Angkor. It was a genius idea by the person who designed and built this largest religious temple in the world.

The Guinness World Records considers it as the largest religious structure in the world. Originally constructed as a Hindu temple, dedicated to the god Vishnu. Construction started by indian King Suryavarman II during the 12th century ❤

Cambodia was influenced by India, the world knows that, but Angkors were not build by India. Suryavarman II was Khmer King, you can say whatever you want, world history and facts on the inscriptions cannot lie.

It's funny how majority of people that clearly don't need to spend much time to the read the actual written history but commented base on ears hearing. Even khmer is now Buddhism but we never denied that we were once Hindu. Khmer empire scripted for the next generations to remember.

The latest research done by Chiang Mai University in collaboration with an international research team have examined DNA samples from Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Burma, and Cambodia, compared with DNA samples from ancient humans found in archaeological excavations of each country. Compared to the current ASEAN DNA As a result, Thailand is close to Vietnam, Laos, and Indonesia, but Burma and Cambodia are separated. People who lived during the Khom civilization is a pedigree South Indian Mon which is not found in Cambodia This clearly indicates that Khmer is not Khom and Khom Warman was completely eradicated from the present Khmer faction, which had no Khmer ancestry at all. This coincides with the story of Nai Tang Wan (Mr.Sweet Melon) Rebellion who established himself as a later king with the eradication of the Varman dynasty and theories.
