2 жыл бұрынFrom legendary filmmaker Don Hahn and Disney Files Magazine Editor Ryan March comes “Disney Drop-In,” a Disney Vacation Club series of unscripted videos filmed in interesting Disney places with equally interesting Disney people. In this episode, Ryan visits the Wonderland-inspired home of actor, author and entrepreneur Ashley Eckstein, known to many Disney fans for originating the role of Star Wars hero Ahsoka Tano and for creating the fan-fashion company Her Universe.
Ryan drops in as he and Ashley’s mutual friend Bret Iwan - a talented artist and the official voice of Mickey Mouse - illustrates Ashley’s whimsical visions for her unfinished living spaces, and returns later to see those visions brought to life. You’ll also meet Ashley’s understanding husband, former Major League Baseball star David Eckstein (a two-time World Series champion, including one with the then-Disney-owned Anaheim Angels), who shows off his own small space, inspired by Casey’s Corner on Main Street, U.S.A.

Big props to her husband for letting her turn their home into one big doll house. I love a themed room but i don’t know if I would be able to do a whole house! Glad he got a small corner for himself.

Met Ashley at NYCC a few years back when she was judging the cosplay competition in 2019. I helped walk her to the bathroom, and got to say thank you for all that she did for femme nerd fashion. She is endlessly kind and deserves the best. I can only aspire to be like her someday tbh

@@jessefirman48 Thank you for sharing your concern but I am proudly Jewish just as Jesus was proudly Jewish. We don't believe in Hell but it sounds like a place many people should go to. Maybe you should concentrate on the Torah. The same as Jesus did.

I really hope Ashley isn’t a disliked celebrity whatsoever. Given her caring ethical nature (I feel like she has people who don’t like for that sadly) no wonder she didn’t return as Ahsoka for The Mandalorian considering all the nut jobs within the SW fandom demanding the franchise be their way or the high way.

I got to hear Ashley talk about her love for Alice in Wonderland at her HERstory women’s history month talk at Disney Springs in March 2021. I knew she’d have an amazing home with how creative she is! I should’ve known it would be Alice in Wonderland themed!🥰😍she said hi to me after her talk at Disney Springs & told me I was gorgeous🥺🥰which meant a lot since I grew up watching Star Wars the Clone Wars & have always been a big fan of Ashoka! And I was wearing my BB8 her universe dress when I met her!😆🥰🧡it’s great to read all the comments of people’s interactions with Ashley!💕she’s so kind!

I’d never heard of either of these people before. Normally, that type of thing brings out the cynicism in me (who the heck are these rich folks this time?!) but these two are really, really lovely. I can’t help but smile with them! I couldn’t be happier that she’s achieved her dream!

She's so amazing. Remember when Clone Wars first started people hated Ahsoka. Now, if anyone says anything bad about Ahsoka, they'll get violent..lol.. I want that chair... I have notes, like I guess I shouldn't be to harsh on how clean the first floor felt since it's England, but I feel like the walls could use a little more clutter, and your wall is just so perfect for the rabbit hole it's a shame you didn't re paint it burgundy with like a dark oak color for the outlines, it might clash a bit with Theresa of the room but I consider that a bonus, it's Alice in wonderland be bold!

It’s pretty but I prefer subtle Disney bc it’s a home, and husbands also live in homes. I can understand the kids’ rooms or a home office, but the whole house? I feel bad for David.

I've always wanted a room painted in Winnie the Pooh for my grandkids. I have a lot of great ideas in my head how I'd want my dream house to be. It must be nice to be able to have your dreams come true. I mostly wanted a house with a swimming pool in the backyard, but it never happened. 😏😒
