I had the pleasure of visiting Bassin Blue in 2002 and I have to say...though it’s not considered a global Wonder, it was in my eyes outside of the Great Walls of China. I recall the the drive (bumpy) passing through Léogane & up the 🏔 on a narrow road. Though the ditches were scary- the views of the lush mountain side surrounded by blue ocean was truly a sight to behold ( I injured my angle on the rail attempting to absorb its beauty). I remember the place I was lodging in had bugs that would glow bright neon green at night (they were hard to kill...you thought it was dead when their light dimmed but my 🩴 was no match for their armour). Yeah...the hike up to bassin bleu was no joke compounded by the fact that I can’t swim. However, it was nice to see my brother dive into the basin and enjoy himself. TFS and giving me a spin down memory lane 😩

We're on the same trail, when I visited Bassin Bleu it felt so relax and peaceful inside but getting there is equivalent to a week workout but very well worth it. You're ABSOLUTELY right pictures and videos doesn't do it justice the feeling is amazing. Awesome Jeanty.

Bassin Bleu is sooooo fun. It's such a great place to swim and so beautiful.
