In this #cubbyvanlife video postcard we're visiting the largest man-made ski flying facility in the world, the only one in the western hemisphere, Copper Peak Ski Flying Complex, located in one of our favorite places, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, or the UP, just outside the town of Ironwood.
Buit in 1969 at a cost of just over $1 million and the first international ski flying competition was held there in 1970 and the last flight was in 1994. Luckily for us it's now open to the public for touring, if not for flying.
What an awesome place to visit!
