Visiting Lazaro Cardenas Michoacán, MX. VLOG # 5 Part 1

Lazaro Cardenas is a small town located just a couple hours north of the city of Acapulco. Known for having the one of Mexicos largest ports. The small fishermen town has seen many changes since my wife lived here. This is the 3rd time we visit and already you can see it developing to a more busy area.
It's always a good time to bring my kids and experience life in other country's. Really makes you appreciate what we have here in the states. Overall it's a great way to reset, and enjoy some humble living.

I was just there last week! My wife’s family is from Michoacan and we took our first trip with the two kids there. Truly magical place!

Uuufff 20 años que me vine de petacalco esos eran mis comederos microbusero por 11 años y en el 2001 large el bus y fierro alas Las Vegas y desde entonces no e regresado

You are about 12 or 13 hours drive from Puerto Vallarta and about 6 or 8 hours drive from Acapulco Amigo.

Hey Jp I was wondering how you rent a car over what documents are required. My mother has been watching your videos and she stumbled upon this one, because she is from Lazaro Cardenas. And if it’s safe to rent a car there.

It’s very easy. They ask for your driver license and a credit card. For 10 days I paid around $500 dollars. We rented a big van so it was a bit more. Normally it’s like $12-$15 a day.

How is the moving around in the streets? Any issues running into you know who? I was born there and left when I was five, but I’ve been told it’s not safe to go.

Very safe. We had no issues and traveled with kids.
