Great job on the overview of the RE lineup. They certainly are a great value for the price.

I did all the upgrades you can think of on the baby blue classic 350. Its a eyecatcher and i can tour whole Day long without any issues, butttt ofcourse missing a bit of topspeed so after summer i think it will be the shotgun or the gt650 chrome. Enfield stole my heart for its character and when i look in the mirrors i can see myself grinnin all over. Thanks for another good video uncle. Love from Holland

Perfect informational video for us enthusiasts Uncle! I believe the Royal Enfield Gorilla hit the Market today. I read on the RE site that Sadhartha was putting out 7 models each year over 4 years which is a huge undertaking. I myself am amazed they have the ability to keep us on our toes with continual new models to enjoy. Of course we over on this side of the pond see the models last in line. We will be lucky if the Himalayan 450 surfaces before the holidays and the Gorilla in spring 2025 which will be summer 2025. The RE dealer where you visited did seem to have a handsome collection of models. I am curious to see what happens with their HimE or electric bike in the future. May have to drive the 411 into the ground and then consider electric. I see natural gas bikes now also. Good to see you and Jabo out!

Hiya, I still have my himi, had for 3 years now and can't get rid of it but I have been looking for a classic in marsh grey (second hand) for about a year and picked one up last Friday with only 800 miles on the clock and 11months old. Perfect for the coast roads, country lanes and dartmoor. I did look at the shotgun and would have loved if they did it in the signals colours. Mark uk

The Signals marsh grey is at the top of my list if I buy another bike, I think it's got some tricks up it's sleeve that make it a genuine working class hero machine.
@marktorbay

@@UncleVoodoo definitely less power noticeable compared to the himi but seems more flickable, I guess the lower center of gravity, when I picked it up it was a 120 mile ride home and next day drove to Plymouth Hoe for coffee and on the coast road and the country lanes it kept up with my mates bigger bikes. Very pleased so far 👍 Ps the front brake is better than the himi.

Great video and looks like your dealer is well worth the ride out. I think RE are really having to chase sales with a younger generation and appeal to a target market that wouldn’t consider riding. The launch of the Guerrilla today points this direction.

They have a bar / lounge area that is piled up with shop junk, I need to have a word with them about that -as when my buddy arrived he was in dire need of a cold drink and they had nothing nor anywhere to sit. I'm going back soon to scope some things out for them and I'll mention that they need to let riders coming in have a place to unwind and get some refreshments.

Had to search for dealers site. I'm sure I'm spotting a gorgeous Pearl Stardust Ninja 300?.........and sold? not showing in inventory. One of the last great looking sports bikes........and can kit with GIVI cases for a sweet, really light, fun, economical compact commuter/tourer for untall folk. Love RE and my INT, but that's a great bike too :)

I agree 100% with your opinion of the Shotgun branding. I think all of Royal Enfield street bikes should have there metal name on the gas tanks and that's enough. That is like me printing my name Bill on the front and back of my shirts and shirt sleeves, pants, underwear, socks, shoes and hats. I know who I am and so do my friends. Also they don't need to Identify the size of the engine with cheap decals and clear paint over them, either do it with metal or chromed plastic emblem's that can be removed easily. I like the shotgun BUT I've already thought if I were to buy one I would have to sand all that cheap shit off and repaint it! And I'm not going to go to that expense. Wake up Royal Enfield, put a nice badge on the tank, stamp the cc's on the engine block, which you probably do and we can figure out the rest.

There's us, but apparently, and I'm sure the marketeers at RE have done ample research, some like gaudy look at me look at me stuff. I guess we have to feel fortunate that there are still some bikes left that aren't like that. It's getting bad though. Even Indian has a freakin cruiser now with one of those hideous gold upside down forks........uuuuuugh.

Im sure it's a great performer, but I feel they're getting into that "disposable" vehicle territory. BMW did kind of the same thing with the 310GS.

The Classic 350 is the RE for which I yearn the most. Interceptor 650 is in second place. For some reason the Himalayan leaves me “meh” although having had KLRs and GSAs, you’d think I’d like the Himmi more.
@UncleVoodoo
@UncleVoodoo Ай бұрын
I love ma a Classic 350 too. I see one on my horizon. The Himalayan was like a donkey that showed up to a horse race, it got whipped in every way imaginable but it plodded along and finished the race... that made it endearing to many people. At the end of the day it just showed what could be done with a tiny amount of power and goes everywhere the "big boys" do.... except the highway! The new doesn't have that going for it, its just another horse in the race.

I feel the same way about the himalayan 411 vs the 450, i thought about trading my 411 in for a 450, then i saw what all they added and changed with the 450. you need a computer to work on the 450, well if i break down in the trails i wont have a computer with me so i'll be boned, but the 411 you can rebuild on the trail without any special tool. my 411 is carbratoted so i have very few electronics to worry about.
@UncleVoodoo
@UncleVoodoo Ай бұрын
Im sure the 450 preforms well, but just like how I don't see the GT outrunning the Interceptor... I don't see the 450 going anywhere the 411 cant go. Sure it's got more power but adv riding isn't a race. I suppose RE is eager to show what they're capable of but its ultimately pointless imho and is a departure from what makes RE ...RE. Plus the price puts it in KLR territory.
@zfunk123

@@UncleVoodoo Right, they are also looking at whos going to buy the 450, most people that own Himalayans never take them off road and when they do its mostly a ruff dirt road/2 track and they only do it once or twice in the amount of time they own the bike. i bought mine thinking it would be off road more than on road, but its a great bike and i wanted to ride it everywhere, i done the entire east coast with that bike, its not a speed demon but a fun bike that can do almost anything you ask of it. i think the 450 is more for the majority buyers and not the few that like to see just how far will it go.

I'd guess that N.American sales are such a small % of RE overall, they don't pay much attention to it....

Good walk around. I live in eastern Kentucky, and my area is not flush with Enfields. Whenever I stop somewhere on my Interceptor no one even knows what it is, so I’ve explained the brand to several curious onlookers. My nearest dealer is about 125 miles away. Today I saw a Hunter in the town where I live. It was the first Enfield I’ve seen besides mine except when I’m traveling. I share your dislike for the graphics on the Shotgun. I realize they’re trying for a younger audience, but you can’t fake coolness or hipness with graphics. The youth will either find something cool or they won’t. I agree about the Himalayan-the new version is probably better in every quantifiable way, but it misses the mark on value. In fact, aside from the 350’s, I’m afraid Enfield is slowly losing the value edge they’ve enjoyed. Once they start approaching other brands in cost they’re going to lose their advantage in the market. All their bikes had significantly lower prices until the Super Meteor came along. Now the Himalayan and all their 650’s have competition near their price. Choosing a Royal Enfield isn’t as simple as it used to be. Try to keep Jobu out of trouble and keep making interesting videos. I’ll be watching…

If I didn't get the 2nd hand deal I got with my GT, I wouldn't have gotten it. The price new was out of my budget range. The MSRP on the Himalayan is now more than what I got mine for on the road just a few years ago. Im kind of pressuring myself to get a Classic 350 before they cost more than $5000.

I’m not a huge fan of the metal decals on the tank of the Super Meteor, so I wouldn’t want it on the Shotgun. Just class it up with good color schemes and a classy painted Royal Enfield on the tank and Shotgun on the side panels and I’d be happy. Classy colors, not the yellow with Blue and Pickle green. Once again, my opinion. Where RE really messed up was releasing the Shotgun instead of a 650 Classic/Bullet. I’d have bought one already but now I bought a 2017 500 Bullet so I might not be interested if RE ever brings one out. Or maybe I will. 😂 Time will tell. I like the blacked out Continental GT and Interceptors but I’d have left the spoked wheels. I most hate cast wheels. I don’t mind them on my Ultra Classic because they are hidden. I agree on the 411/450 thoughts, I think the original will go down as a classic.

If I didn't have the GT I'd want to be interested in the Shotgun,.. but none of the models on offer really float my boat, the grey comes close but not enough to get my money. I'm assuming the blacked out Int/GTs aren't selling due to the trim graphics applied to them, the rest of the bike looks fine but the trim colors are an eyesore and add no "class" to those models. They should've just made the alloy wheels an option for the existing color ways.

Hi great videos! 👍 Can I ask on your bike you have the matching mudguards that match the tank did you buy them like that or get them done yourself? I've got the interceptor chrome tank with red stripe I can not find anywhere that do them on the net.
