Part Two of this adventure was very interesting indeed Jen I did enjoy the views along the canal the scenery looks absolutely looks amazing I look forward to watching Part 3 of this adventure until then do take care and stay safe and keep up the good work

That station building at Chapel station used to have a restaurant in it until a few years ago, called the "Brief Encounter" restaurant!

Wow! Analog signals along the tracks! I grew up with analog arm signals around the house of my grand parents. Once as a kid I was invited by a signal man to help him with operating the signals and the switches around Blerick station. Day of my life. Now there’s no analog signaling left in the Netherlands. All digital and with light signals. Safer but not as romantic.

And if you do ever reach a point of shopping for maybe a used boat or having a new one built, do ask around the boating community for advice on what to look out for and how to best adapt a vessel to your needs and desires.

I so wish you would do a report on American/Canadian rail the way Simply Railway or Downie Live does. I think you would have a blast in New York or Toronto

Were there no useful interchanges going on at Middlewood? It seems strange to close a station ten years before the line which might have offered a chance to change from one line to another

Sometimes it's needed though - the route just wouldn't really work today in reality

@@JenOnTheMove I like to think of it from a "built it and they will come" perspective. Not to mention, if a railway's underserved, give it opportunities to serve rather than pull out the dynamite; build housing or industry around/along it and create a reason for it existing. It's the most environmentally-friendly form of transport after all!

Will the Buxton Line could be electrified and to allow Northern to operate the Class 323 EMUs from Manchester Piccadilly to Buxton via Stockport. Still the line itself could of carried on to Matlock and Derby.
