Mumbai’s cafes play a huge role in making the city’s good scene as deliciously varied and vibrant as it is. So, we headed out for a taste test of our own, checking out the best cafes in Colaba, one of the most thriving food hubs in Mumbai, and we’re taking you along for the delicious ride!
Colaba is a foodie’s paradise, with iconic establishments dating back to more than 100 years old to hidden gems that dish out some amazing food. We visited both kinds of places - from snacks at the legendary Leopold Cafe, which has been in operation since 1871; to Cafe Churchill, a hole-in-the-wall joint that serves some mouth-watering sandwiches, pasta, and cheesecake!
We also stopped by at the non-vegetarian hub that is Olympia Coffee House to try out their famous keema pav and mutton seekh kebab before stopping by the equally iconic Cafe Mondegar, which is a treat for the tastebuds as well as the eyes. Another must-try establishment in the area is Kebab Gunj, which treats Mumbaikars to a taste of Lucknow with their melt-in-the-mouth kebabs!
