Hey, we're Kimberly & Jordy! In this vlog we visit Grand Indonesia the best mall in Jakarta, Indonesia. We are transiting through Jakarta on our way to our next island destination. In this vlog we rush to the mall before PPKM sets in and everything closes for two weeks.
This is the last chance to get to the mall before major lockdowns here in Jakarta.

Sbenernya kita bukannya overhype dgn jakarta...tp...jakarta is doing its best...namanya juga ibukota negara...walaupun perbaikannya bersifat kosmetik ajah...tp ini udh luar biasa...aku yg tinggal d kota ini ajah suka kaget krn selalu ada hal yg baru...dan yg barunya itupun bukan kaleng" lho...bener" gila"an ...kalo pun ada youtuber luar yg ngevlog mengenai kota itu ..itu krn rasa pnasaran mrk krn mrk dengar dr temenĺ ..dr youtuber" lain...dll..kita ambil sgala sesuatu yg positive itu ajah...kalo masih ada yg sdikit brantakan d kota ini tp yg jelaskan kalo menuju sempurna itu gk gampang to butuh proses ....proses ini yg hrs kita dukung juga...sadar kebersihan

So that latest news here is that if you are vaccinated your are allowed to come over with a negative PCR test.. They have upped the quarantine requirement to 8 days. The lockdown is scheduled to end on the 20th of July but we will keep you guys updated on the situation.. I know that Phuket in Thailand has opened to tourists with vaccines..

If you are looking for a haircut. You can find a street that is a bit close to residential areas, usually there will be a home barber with the name ( pangkas rambut ) because they are usually open. you just need to translate using google translate to communicate with the barber.

There are a lot of 'all you can eat' restaurant in Indonesia. From Indonesian, american, to Korean/Japanese food. The price is depends on the type of AYCE, place and name of the restaurant. I.e. We can try korean food with 100k or 500k. Kintan Buffet is more expensive than Hanamasa (only 200k) but the meat is better.

ITC Kuningan and Mall Ambasador is the best place for affordable price of electronic item, and you can also find a good food at the foodcourt there like Indonesian food/Indonesian street food @KimberlyandJordy

If you wanna go to place that have same vibes like in Bali, you should go to Lippo Mall Kemang Avenue. There is a comfy spot to chill while talking and many foreigners aslo come there.

To avoid scam or price unfairness, you may buy electronic stuff from official brand shop, or go to marketplace with instant/sameday delivery. It helps the courier/online bike taxi drivers during this pandemic.

We have already made it out of Jakarta actually, but we loved our time there! We will definitely be back and explore more after lockdowns, etc.

maybe next time, you can just buy SSD online, there is a few options of an online marketplace like Tokopedia or Shopee, so that you can get a fair price, fast, avoid scammers (most of the shops in Indonesia are honest) & safer as well.

You both still can go to west/north sumatra, central java, jogja. All u just need is negative covid pcr test result. You can try by bus, cause today i'm still see many buses to surabaya, malang, jogja, padang/bukittinggi, is still operated. My neighbour go to jogja by bus and he told no need rapid/pcr test result, but he still got the pcr result if there is a check.

@@KimberlyandJordy you can go to private hospital/private clinic for pcr..for now, vaccine just for indonesian resident, but the info now in kimia farma clinic they sold vaccine for 875k
