Hugo and I visit the incredible Gurudwara Janam Asthan where it's believed that Guru Nanak Dev Ji was born. We'll show you all around this famous Gurudwara and end in the community kitchen (Langar Hall) which serves meals to all free of charge, regardless of religion, caste, gender, economic status, or ethnicity.
Don't miss my tour of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Neighbourhood (Gurudwara Bal Lila) ☬ • Roaming in Guru Nanak ...
Nankana Sahib City is the birthplace of Guru Nanak and features 7 Gurudwaras dedicated to various parts of the Guru's life. The most famous being Gurdwara Janam Asthan, where the Guru was born in 1469.
Nankana Sahib is located in the Nankana Sahib district of Punjab province in Pakistan. Located 91 km west of Lahore and has a population of 79,540, according to the 2017 census. It's named about the first Guru of the Sikhs who was born there and first began preaching there. It's, therefore, one of the most important religious sites for the Sikh religion.

They also pelted stones at nankana Sahib. Do you know, they pelt stones at shaitan when Hajj? Do you know that there is a ritual of stoning the devil in Islam? When Muslims go to perform Hajj, then Muslims pelt stones on a big stone which is believed to be the devil. So could you understand why they pelt stones on the army and on temples or gurudwaras?

IKR!! It's usually pure cotton, very comfortable, and cool, unlike jeans and pants that are tight and don't allow for airflow. Karl filmed this in Winter. But when I first visited Lahore I was stuck-up and wore my jeans and long sleeve shirts with the sleeves rolled up until June came and I noticed I was sweating more than everyone else (48C+ outdoors in summer) I literally had salt pouring out of me. So I gave it a try and it was so much better!!

@Shaman King she was trying for years and was refused. Now the katarpur corridor is open that might change things but she did try and I know many who also tried and they were refused visas. @@Tharun786 that is extremely sad. i as well have stories like this, where religious partition destroyed families and friendships and just peace in general. if we can't go back to being one, at least we should one day be able to cross into our neighboring countries without worry. similar things have happened to me, both my mom and my dad side are from india but our parents had to move from india to pakistan because of religious violence towards muslims. my nana even saw his own mom get killed in front of his own eyes as a child. the partition was extremely sad and i wish the hate sowed during the partition can one day dissolve and pakistan and india and treat each other like brothers, like how it's supposed to be

Amazing video as always Karl! My first exposure to Indian culture was actually the Sikh community in Vancouver when I was living in Canada, and i have always held their service to others as an example to live up to. I’ve absolutely loved the Pakistan videos; even though I haven’t been there yet they remind me so much of what I miss. My wife and I left India in December and came to the US to take care of some family matters, and we’re so homesick for India. Thanks for everything bro, you have no idea how much you’re loved all over the world.

I never thought in a million years I’d want to visit Pakistan 🇵🇰 until now. Here in the US we are taught that Pakistan and a lot of other Middle Eastern countries are where terrorists live and we should never go. There’s a lot of negative propaganda here in the USA about these countries and it’s sad. If you ever ask an American about going to Pakistan, they’d probably laugh and say hell no. Ppl here are too wrapped up in their own bubbles to educate themselves on other cultures. So that’s why you won’t see hardly any Americans go to these countries.

Same goes for india you might have probably heard of India as slums, poverty and stuff like that which are there but india is much more than that. We have all kinds of people here. Western media portrays asian countries negatively maybe because it attracts the viewers like they'll never say how india and pakistan are doing great. Sorry for my English I've lost touch cuz it's been years since I spoke English.

western media always propogate the lack of free journalism and right of expresion in the third world countries but as long as i have seen the people from most advance countries of the world like us,europe, australia, russia are totally unaware of the rest of the world.they are injecting hatrened through their news and media to keep masses apart from these communities as part of their strategy.

If you actually go to Muslim countries, you'll see that most of them have the most peaceful, tolerant and warm people you've ever met. On KZfaq you have solo female bikers who have gone alone, without company, through iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan. So touched were they that they cried. Drew Binsky has spent loads of time in Muslim countries and barely spent a dime on food because the locals always paid for him. US propaganda is incredibly deceitful, you can basically reverse most of what they say and you'll get the truth. (Same goes for what they say about Russia and other countries).

It gave me a great feeling of nostalgia, even though I've never been there. And knowing how much pain and suffering was caused by the arbitrary line created by the British partition (as well as persecution by both Hindus and Muslims). Sikh's were a warrior class out of necessity, not for personal gain. You have a kind spirit. I just found your channel.
