ROFL. I grew up in an 3/4 Anglophone family in Quebec. When I saw that clip, the French side of my brain went: "Oh Jesus, the English are such prudes!". absinthe is not even french and only the tourist version is drunk with sugar. normally its just mixed with water from shown fountains

The formula is swiss, yes but it gained fame in France. Also, there are several ways to drink absinthe. Adding plain iced water to absinthe is just one of them. But there are 3 very traditional methods that are recommended to increase the flavor: -the French way which is to filter into the absinthe cold water on top of a sugar cube (the one we see in the video). -The Czech way which is to dip the sugar cube into the absinthe with a spoon before setting it on fire to create a caramel. Then you add it to the absinthe with water. -The Russian way which is to add a sugar syrup (1/3 sugar 2/3 water) directly to the absinthe.

You're in all these comment sections at the bottom for Travel Man. Is the point you're trying to make is that only xenophobes should be able to cross borders? Is that because they wouldn't leave home, so nobody goes anywhere, or is it you prefer the glass-case treatment across the board? Hard to discern what cranks are so fussy about, though I suspect they don't know, either.
