For Day 9 we planned to do 16 kilometers and get through the towns - Roses and Empuriabrava which is called by some people Venice in Catalonia and we were very intrigued by this place so were very excited to explore it. And then we planned to get to the campground at the beach. That day was going to be a shorter day than previous one because the day before it was quite a bit more challenging with more uphills and downhills but that day was promising to be very nice and easy. Because we could see that there was no elevation change at all or barely no elevation change of maybe like 40 meters not more. So it was going to be a great chill out day in between the mountainous days.
