Why You Must Visit Bournemouth (UK's Best Beach Town)

Күн бұрынThis week I travel to Bournemouth, Dorset, arguably the best beach town in the UK as well as venture up to Poole and Christchurch. 🇬🇧
We visit the famous Bournemouth beach, stay in one of the cutest Bournemouth hotels and find plenty of fun things to do Bournemouth such as the Bournemouth pier, Bournemouth zip wire and Bournemouth gardens
We also take a little walk around Bournemouth town centre, to round of our Bournemouth holiday.

I live in Bournemouth and its really crazy to see people videoing my hometown and noticing how many memories I have connected tk the places you guys went. For example the golf course used to be somewhere where old victorian vehicles were and a few times there was a stage and the coca cola truck there. Its so much fun when the air festival is down in August, there's air shows in the day, night air shows with lights on the planes and live music aswell as fireworks. Bournemouth does have its ups and downs tho but so far days out ha e ended really well and are one of my most memorable moments. I hope you guys enjoyed it so much as there's so much nostalgia linked to this place that it cannot not be a place in my heart ♥️♥️.

I was in Bournemouth in September,and walked down that long path to the beach,walked where you cycled,played mini golf in the lovely outdoor park,had the best hot dog next to it,weather was fine,you took me right back to it.the year before we stayed at the majestic now sadly closed down,due to the pandemic,so thanks for that little tour,but now I'm so sad cause I want to go back.I live in Yorkshire 😭

Fantastic. We moved to Poole from London 3 years ago and love every minute of being here. You can’t help falling in love with this area. So many beautiful places to walk with breathtaking scenery. Sandbanks and Studland are unique and the whole area is a Nature Reserve!

Hiya Charlie and Lauren, I have gone to Dorset since I was a little girl. Poole is where we always stay. But visited many areas. So it is nice to see it from someone else's eyes. Bournemouth & Poole are gorgeous places..Fantastic in the summer, I used to visit there quite often when I was younger..would leave the car at the guest house and travel everywhere by train or bus and not have to worry about finding parking spaces 😉

Great to see you headed into Poole, I come from Dorset and only just went back there after nearly 50 years in Australia last year. We were so lucky to have done our trip in 2019 and have lunch in Poole Harbour, loved seeing Bournemouth again. Have a happy and safe Christmas 🎄

Had problems posting my comment last night so hopefully it will stay where it should tonight. Loved the place you stayed at. Looks like some great places to eat down that way. I'm feeling your love for mini golf. I could quite easily get used to afternoon teas if that's what they look like. As for scones it's always cream first then jam on top for me. Good to see Tubby back on the road trip after he was so poorly treated by his absence in the Anniversary vlog. I think judging by Lauren's reaction he has already seen off that new upstart teddy bear. Thank you for a wonderfully enjoyable vlog. Take care both of you, Graham ❤

Haha poor little fella didn't stand a chance did he. I managed to keep hold of him and chuck him in the camper though so he can be our 'on the road' bear! Thanks as always mate!

It seems wonderful there ; and so are you. I had to laugh when you first checked into the hut with a small tabletop Christmas tree. They must have known you lived on a narrowboat, so they wanted to make you feel at home. Haha! Lovely video.

Great vlog, guys! I live in Bournemouth so it was interesting to see the places you visited in my home town. Those huts look fab inside, never stayed in one myself as we live less than half a mile away from them so it was interesting to see what they are like inside! 😊

Great video guys, really enjoyed watching! I've lived in Bournemouth all my life and it's great you enjoyed it. I definitely recommend coming back in the summer. I also really recommend hengisbury head, one of my favourite places. Word of warning, in the summer the beach is jammed packed, especially by the pier, so I'd recommend heading down to Southbourne where it's a lot quieter, more locals.

Canford Cliffs is the best beach of the whole area, that’s much quieter. The worlds 2nd largest natural harbour is a 10 minute walk along the sand.

The irony of so many people who live in Bournemouth watching this vlog... although I’m shocked at all the comments from locals not knowing about half of what you did. And I concur you need to visit in the summer, and totally go to hengistbury head, it’s actually a site of special scientific interest.

Bournemouth born and bred here - it's so weird seeing it on video like a tourist destination 😂 it's also really strange seeing the inside of places like the beach huts, because obviously I'd have no reason to stay there! I'm glad you had a good time!

Nice visit to the beach! I grew up on the SC coast. Best time to be the beach is during the off season- no crowds. But it’s not quite as cold as it appears to have been for you. Stay safe, warm and healthy! Cheers from South Carolina!

@@CharliePauly, thats a must do, Sandbanks is all very good and has a beautiful sandy beach and good views out towards the Purbecks and Old Harry Rock, but if you want rugged Jurassic Coast, then Durdle Door, Ringstead and Worbarrow Bay is worth a look. Poole has some interesting history, the renowned privateer (cough - pirate) Harry Paye (who Old Harry Rocks refer to) operated out of Poole - google him, somewhat surprisingly he died of natural causes. Even now we get dressed up as pirates on his birthday and theres a lot of rum drinking goes on around Poole Quay

I loved the little beach hut, very cosy. I’ve fond memories of Bournemouth from my childhood days. The beach is gorgeous. Well done on the zip line Lauren and your hole in one on the crazy golf Charlie. It’s a shame the weather didn’t stay as good as the first day but you certainly enjoyed yourselves xx

I go to Bournemouth at least 4 times a year. I love the place. There is a lot to see and do. I would love to settle there maybe one day.

Absolutely lovely video, but I find myself reminded of the scene in Love Actually, the scene were the wedding video is all concentrated on the girl, I find myself absolutely captivated by Lauren, just sitting here only looking at her and think she is just lovely, Charlie you are the man and all and I envy your spirit and the fact you are a great match to Lauren. If we didn't think it was a good idea Danny we wouldn't have done it. We were invited by BCP Tourism so if they were happy to have us - then we were happy to travel. Everything we done was above board and legal and we had a great time!
