Venturing around Sydney to visit three attractions (Wildlife Sydney, Sealife Sydney, and The Sydney Tower Eye). We scored a great deal to visit all three and had a wonderful time seeing all the sights.
All the attractions are available in the one purchase, use this link to check it out and buy it for yourself:

There is another, much larger zoo, in Sydney: Taronga Zoo on the other side of the harbour. You get there by a ferry from Circular Quay to its own wharf, take a bus or cable-car to the top, and work your way past the exhibits back down the slope to the wharf to return. The site is spectacular and the exhibits excellent. The whole ferry trip and day at the zoo is a great experience (perhaps at its best in Spring or Autumn), but maybe a little expensive.

O wow, we didn't know it had a few names before our visit. In Orlando we have an Orlando Eye but it's a Ferris Wheel so very different from this. Thanks for the info and for watching.

Same - I still call it Centrepoint. I didn’t know it was now the Sydney Tower Eye. I thought it was still Westfields. Mind you I did not really get used to Myer being Grace Bros for a time from 1983. Now that Meyer has gone back to its original name I am happen.

Death adders are actually placid and not aggressive to humans at all. The main danger is stepping near or on one because they hide in leaf litter. Then they might strike in defence but even then will rarely use venom. I’ve seen quite a few snakes hiking in Australia but I’ve never seen a death adder.

I live in Sydney and have never been to that zoo. It looked surprisingly ok. Taronga is much bigger and Featherdale is good to get closer to the animals.

We were surprised too! I thought with the deal that it would be just ok but it actually had a ton of good info and lots of animals lurking about to see.

It’s a shame you missed Vivid. Go to Taronga Zoo next time, more a traditional Zoo. Yes its illegal to hold a Koala, but you can interact with them at zoos and sanctuaries if they are not stressed. Visit the Botanic Gardens at night, a small version of Vivid is still on until 16th July.

OMG! You guys are so cute. There are places where you can hold a koala. They are usually supervised at wildlife parks.

It’s not illegal to touch or hold a koala in Queensland. There are plenty of places in Australia where you can have your photo taken holding one. But like any wild animal that climbs trees with huge claws, it’s very unwise to try to pick one up in the wild. Like most marsupials, they are generally sweet and good-natured, but you don’t want to frighten one, or go near a big male during the mating season.

Yes, it is prohibited by law for anyone to hold a koala in NSW, with the exception of trained zookeepers. QLD is the only state in Australia that still allows koalas to be held by the general public.

@@ItsAlwaysHappyHour Ah… It’s obvious that I’m a koala-hugger, then. Mind you, I don’t know anyone stupid enough to pick up a wild koala. Unfortunately, over the past few years of extremely hot summers and catastrophic bushfires, there have been many instances of koalas coming to humans for help, mainly for water.

Only illegal to hold koala in NSW - if you go to QLD you can - each state has different laws. Just be warned - they like to piss and shit on you when you hold them 😂😂
