An informative video, so thanks for posting. As a retired engineer with the second-largest fire department in San Diego county, I continue to stay on top of fire apparatus technology as a hobby. I was expecting a bit more refinement with this particular rig, and I can immediately see ways to improve the setup procedures. This would require a re-designed control panel with more automated processes. I would love to have the time and resources to design such a system.

Daniel, this is an older Sutphen that has reached the end of it's operation status. From what I know about our new truck is that we'll be going to a smaller more nimble chassis. It's gonna be just a straight stick with no bucket. In terms of the setup procedures on that one that's info I am not privy to. Maybe I'll just have to do another vid on that one.
