Vita3K just got its 5th update for Android and there's a lot of updates to it. And with this update the Zelda 3 reimplentation that was ported to Vita now works so I was excited to share that!

To install Zelda 3 for the Vita you'll need to download the VPK and install it through Vita3K by going to file and install vpk and find the file where you placed in your storage. Then you'll need the dat file which contains all of Zelda 3's data, the installation guide tells you how to rip this data yourself (which is really hard) and the reddit link has a place you can download an already ripped dat file. This dat file needs to go in Android\data\org.vita3k.emulator\files\vita\ux0\data\zelda3\tables and that should be everything you need. In that zelda3 folder is a config file where you can change certain options by changing the values from 0 to 1 or whatever they ask you to set instead and then save that config.

It's unfortunate that Dragon's Crown has that scanline thing. It would be the one game that would seem to be playable since its 2D.

That's just for the RP3+, it works great on the Odin for example and has done since the start.

Roe Taka, do you think you could lay out your settings and what region you had for paper mario on GameCube? I have been unable to get past the intro ship part without it crashing back to the MMJR menu.

I see you have Ys Origin in your app list; I recently tried running it on this same version of Vita3k on my RP3+ and it mostly seems to work (the animated cutscenes have weird coloring) but did find my controls are all screwed up (the top button is mapped to square, for example). Do you know if it's possible to remap the controls in Vita 3k? I couldn't find the option. Or is your experience with the game different?

What thumb stick caps did you put on your RP3+? I remember you mentioning it a few months ago? I know your using the Hall Sensor upgrade as well. I'd just like to put caps on mine to help raise the sticks a little

Hey I’m not sure if I’ve missed anything but I seem to have no audio whatsoever on zelda 3. Also the game is not in widescreen for me and it runs really slowly. I have the latest version of Vita3k from their Github. I have placed the zelda data file in the correct folder and changed some values in the config file, but for the life of me I cannot figure out what the issue is. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This version of Zelda is one that has been coded from the ground up and remade. I did actually say some of the features in the video.

Yes it works very well, it was in my first video of Vita3K for the Retroid Pocket so it didn't need testing.

yeaaaah making a payment on a device a year ago and not having it yet does kinda feel like a scam. Maybe they're waiting for the hardware cost to go down so they can fulfill their orders lol
