Vital: A Complete Guide

Vital is a new synth recently released by Matt Tytel and this synth is a total game changer. I'm definitely planning on doing more specific sound design tutorials with this synth in the future. I don't think there's ever been a synth this good available for free. I'm stoked.

Vital is absolutely incredible. I think it's the best synth I've ever had. It's pretty easy to use and you can create some amazing sounds with it. If you are like me though, it likes to eat cpu (especially in my DAW). In the advanced tab you can change the oversampling to X 1 or draft. It helps a bit, especially when you have a really complicated patch running. Anyways, great video! Nice to see you back!

Hey another great vid. I noticed the link to the headphones in the description is different from the ones in your vid... Funny story - guy at guitar center suggested to me the ones you're wearing but they were sold out... Your video reminded me about them and I was about to use your link to buy, but the link takes me to the headphones I already have! Haha... Great video man. Only one suggestion. Make sure that your DAW, Sound card settings and your recording software all have the same settings. For example: DAW is at 48k, make sure everything else is at 48k. This will prevent filters and other sounds wont degrade after you are done with screen recording.

FM sound design with Vital looks like it's more complicated to get certain sounds yet very easy to experiment with.

Hey man, great video! I'm using this plugin for a while now and I'm actually planning to release a soundbank. However, I was wondering if you know how to solve this problem. So look whenever I have sound with a long release, how do you fix the overlapping notes. I serum you could click the MONO function to solve this problem. I haven't figured it out yet which is super frustrating since that is the last thing I have to tweak to some of my presets I created for my new soundbank. I hope you have the answer to this question :)

Is there a way to automate macros or other parameters in fl studio ? I didn't figure it out how to make automation clips, the tools/last tweaked/create automation clip is not working

got a pretty beefy macbook pro but can't seem to get it to stop buffering everytime I want to change a parameter. Tried changing the oversampling to low, and even tried increasing the buffer size for my daw itself. Any tips? Running on Cubase 11 if that changes anything. thanks

How do you make actual vowels? I know the approximate shape of the wavetable and how to make one, i know I need to use Format filters, but they don't make it sound like actual vowels. I even know where exactly the format peaks need to be to form specific vowels, but I can't get the Vital format filter where it needs to be. How do I synthesise actual vovels? I've tried the text to waveform too, but it's just too ugly...

I agree that the 'login to view' website doesn't look pleasing at all. You can use a temporary e-mail address or even an alias. This you can delete anytime you don't want to be spammed.

Hey there David nice to see the video, need your help, is it possible that we can replicate a standard Grand Piano sound in SYTRUS, not the one like in the preset. It may take very long for me to figure it out but it will take very less for you to do the same looking forward to it

it's going to be very hard to create a realistic grand piano sound from scratch. Why not just download a free vst which has grand piano presets available?
