You know that blblbl-song? Yeah, I want you to try to sing it. Joel from @roomieofficial tried it in a recent video talking about songs that are impossible to sing along to. I had to try too.
If you're not familiar with the blblbl-song, it's called The 7th Element, and it's a song by Ukrainian* singer, Vitas.
I first came to know about Vitas back in 2010, as Vitas Bumac, when his "Opera #2" went viral the first time around. I was so amazed at his high pitch and how perfectly he managed to transition from a straight note to vibrato, and sound like a soprano. And then the modulations! I was shook, and I've enjoyed and appreciated his talent since.
Vitas, with his playful vocal experimentation and quirky costumes, has made one of the best meme songs there is (in my opinion). Honestly, I'd try to cover the whole song, but-uh.. I'm afraid I'll get the Russian wrong (even though it's one line per verse, repeated).
I would have filmed this vertically if the video was planned properly. But this is done between takes when I did the Spice Girls - Say you'll be there cover ( • Say you'll be there CO... ). I for some reason felt so nervous and weird about filming that day, and needed a fun break. So we watched Roomie Official, laughed at his seagull-edit, and filmed me trying. So it iz what it iz. I hope you enjoy it regardless.
And join my challenge!! :D Use #vitaschallenge, feel free to include my clip, and let me know in comments if you try.
