Vinaka vakalevu. I left Suva 53 yrs ago as a 23 yr old. You've made me appreciate it better. I'm from Rakiraki. Saddens me to see Udreudres Burial site so unkempt! Used to be well trimmed 😢

Thank you SO MUCH, Raul, for watching all my Fiji videos and enjoying them, sharing it through your detailed comments! 💙🙏 Unfortunately, it was my final video from my trip to Fiji last November. But since I live in Singapore and we have direct 10-hour flight to Nadi, I definitely want to plan another trip in near future! There are so many places and islands to explore, I only saw a little bit in a week... I really enjoyed every minute there, this place is really like another world, very very special, far from all the problems and stress. I hope people will watch and learn more about its history, geography, people and come to explore! Vinaka Vakalevu! 🇫🇯

I just came back from your beautiful country, people are beautiful and friendly, but I don’t know how the locals survive with the cost of everything, especially in the resort areas.
@SoAndrew7 ай бұрын
Tourist areas are very expensive. Locals don’t go there, so they are not affected by those inflated prices.

what's the best time to go to Fiji, are there drivers like uber to drive tourist from resort to resort?
@SoAndrew Жыл бұрын
Avoid coming to Fiji between December and April at all costs, it's heavy raining everyday. Unfortunately, there is no Uber or other taxi apps presence in Fiji, so you can arrange ride with your hotel. What I did is I took phone number of a taxi driver in town and just call him whenever I need a ride from remote areas.
@yungming2046 Жыл бұрын
We don't need uber or something like delivery it will kill our market and local jobs

How did you travel the whole island in a Day? Private tour? Taxi? Rented a car? How much did it cost, if I may ask. I am going there in April.
@SoAndrew Жыл бұрын
I found a private tour on Viator. It was FJD 500. Not cheap, considering I was alone, but it was my only option to make it having only 1 week in Fiji and expired driver's license :)

How is the earthquake activity and crime rate?
@SoAndrew10 ай бұрын
Earthquakes are quite common in the area around Melanesia, but I've never heard of any tsunami in Fiji, so I would say it's safe in this regard. Crime rate is minimal, but I was advised twice to be aware walking along the main street in Nadi town - some pickpocket activity exists.

I made a ride around the island in a day (13 hours), but I would highly recommend to make it in 2 days with overnight stay in Suva, without a rush.

How could you say that Suva is the biggest city in the southern Pacific Ocean? Did you mean that your southern Pacific Ocean region does not contain Australia and New Zealand so that your Suva city can be the biggest city of the entire region?
