Though you are partially correct. I wish to point out the real adjustment method is located directly under the van just behind the fuel tank. The DIAL adjustment is only ment for NEW brakes horse shoes only along with new Brake discs. Replace both units and the sun dial Adjust is used to corectly space the shoes from the disc. Once that is complete, then you adjust the main main cable under the van behind the tank. Hope you still have this van. They are great machines.

What about drivers side rear is it the same way to expand, ive seen sprinters they are opposite directions.

Keep the disc/drum on while adjusting. Start by applying 3 clicks on the pedal. Then tighten the adjuster just enough so you no longer can turn the wheel manually. If the adjuster doesn't tighten in one direction then try the other. Then repeat on the other side. When you back off the 3 clicks on your pedal the brakes should release, and when you press the pedal further brakes should be firm.
