crazy to comprehend that the USA is finally a top 5 contender in the world. Just cannot believe it. Partain proved me wrong, did not think they would be this good. Beating the dutch (#2 team in the world) convincingly, beating MolSorum (#1 team of all time) TWICE in one tournament. And now beating one of the best Brazilian teams. Wow.

The thing that is so crazy about it is how fast it happened. A year ago it was a struggle to find a partnership on the men's side that could get it done at the international level.

If you go try to muscle your way up against Benesh, good luck! USA won with a nice mix of blocks, Partain really good serves and a lot of well placed shots, not 100 MPH spikes, not 90 degrees ball breaking hits, well placed shots! Great game!

8:42 Essa tática de fintar e dar o passe bem próxima da rede para atacar de segunda precisa ser ajustada, pegou uns três bloqueios pq a jogada ficou lenta e previsível

@@isaaccarvalho8147 Quem deu muita visibilidade não foram os 'switzerland' (suiça) como você disse e, sim, os suecos! De qualquer forma os brasileiros tentaram aplicar a tática utilizada pelos americanos na partida, mas não executaram bem!

@@joseeustaquioferreira6251 isso é usado até no volei de quadra . Mas tem assistido os campeonatos que os suiços tem participado ? Eles estão dando visibilidade na execução bem feita e na agilidade, sim . E o fato dos brasileiros não estarem executando bem , foi isso que falei

What was Partain trying to do at 5:11? Was he trying to intimidate him?

I actually think he was trying to take up space at the net so the player could not freely pursue the ball by going under the net.

Agree with Nicklaus. It’s a legal middle to stay on the own side to prevent the opponent going under the net. Usually used by the blockers.

That Brazilian team has been at the top of the beach world for a while, this USA team is a rookie team that has taken the world by storm, let them have their spotlight we are all stunned by them

@@ianzwerling2926 That may be, I'm also amazed by their sudden successes and style. Yet commentators (especially from the US) should never take sides so much. What about Brazilian fans or newcomers? Don't they deserve equal moderation for both teams...

@@hitzler57 Don't be so naive! Brazilians commentators are one of the most annoying in the world...they always take Brazil side even when the opponents are cleary better. They rarely consider players from outside Brazil as better than brazilian ones, even when there are some outstanding foreign players! So I think that the commentators in this game were just perfect! By the way, I'm Brazilian!
